You all may have discussed this but I could not find any answer anywhere. The New cabins are the Copper Creek Cabins. The Old DVC villas are Boulder Ridge. I understand some of the rooms in the Main Wilderness Lodge building are being converted to villas. Are these all going to be studios or One and Two bedroom villas as well and what name are they going to go by? :)
Thank you.

DVD/DVC has not released any details regarding configurations for the converted rooms.

The converted rooms & new cabins will be: Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
The existing DVC Villas are being renamed to: Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
These will also be two separate condo associations.

I sat and spoke with a DVC rep when I was on the Magic a couple of weeks ago. I'm hoping what Michael said is true about 2 separate condo associations. The rep I sat down with wouldn't even confirm that. He gave me less then nothing as far as it concerned our beloved VWL (it will always be VWL to me).

There will be 2 separate condo associations, one for VWL DBA Boulder Ridge and a separate one for Copper Creek. Disney was relatively clear about that at the initial announcement and confirmed it when they announced the two new names.

That's what I thought too but when I asked the rep he wouldn't confirm that. i thought that was odd since I understood it to be two different associations.

Keep in mind that DVC representatives are legally constrained from discussing what DVC may do in the future. Even though Ken Potrock mentioned at the 2016 DVC Annual Meeting that Copper Creek was going to be the 14th DVC condo association, the lower level DVC representatives may be severely restricted in what they can say about the new resort. I believe that the DVC Guides, ASAs, and even the shuttle drivers are purposely told little or nothing about future plans so that they can't be accused of misleading customers.

Yep. Anyone who is front-line sales can't make future-looking statements.
