We have booked Courtyard view (thanks to receiving a 40% off pin code via email). I am so excited.:banana::banana::banana:

I have been reading about the views. I requested a high floor with view of the lake. Is that ok or should I request Inner Courtyard Views off lobby? I have read that is the best. I really don't want a courtyard view that overlooks the Villas.

Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

We have stayed at both, villa and inner courtyard...I would request inner courtyard. We enjoyed the view of the pool, bay lake, the geyser going off....

Also could see the geyser from our balcony:

Just for sure ask NOT to be on the ground floor. People walk by your room on the pathways and look in! It's too dark in there not to have curtains open. So we asked to be moved pronto. Unfortunately to a room w/ ghost ants. But that's another story. :scared::laughing: Higher up=better at WL in my book.

Awesome pics. Thanks for posting. Great view. What was your room request?

That is why I went ahead and requested inner courtyard off lobby. From what I read in the Wilderness Lodge thread they are on the 4th and 5th floors. In the bear face. :) The higher the better. Don't want to be on the first floor.

:thumbsup2 We got a room with fast moving ants. After putting bait outside the sliding door twice, they went away.

No request, simply inner courtyard. I've found that WL isn't as good about requests as the other resorts we've stayed at.

Well I called and requested Inner Courtyard View off Lobby and will let it go at that. Try not to stress over it too much. I can get a little crazy with trip planning!:crazy::crazy2:

Yes it is, and I have not done a single thing toward getting ready except make reservations and ADRs. TOo much other stuff going on with the end of school and having a middle schooler and a high schooler. Maybe soon I'll get motivated, although my suitcase stays half packed constantly.

If you're going around Thanksgiving there's a good chance you'll get to see the CHristmas decorations. THis past November we arrived there the Friday before Thanksgiving and stayed till Tuesday. The tree was up and decorated, it was lovely.

When they give you your room number, make sure it ends in an odd number. The odd numbers face in, even numbers face out.

I am hoping they will put them up while we are there. We are mid-November and that is what they did at the Yacht Club last year. :santa:

Awesome tip! Thanks alot. :thumbsup2

If you have requested a "courtyard" view, you must be sure you tell them "inner Courtyard". At the WL, rooms facing the Villas are also considered "court yard" views, which as I was told include any landscaped area. We wound up in a ground floor room facing the quiet pool - not the inner courtyard we had hoped for.

Thanks. I did request Inner Courtyard after reading it on the Wilderness Lodge thread. :goodvibes

I was upgraded last year from Woods to Courtyard view for our stay at WL. Yeah! I loved the view. We were on the 5th floor and our room faced in the direction of the Magic Kingdom. We were able to see the Wishes fireworks from our room. It was really nice because we were back at the resort at that time most nights with a tired child. I don't recall what the exact room number was.

They have my request listed as Inner Courtyard View near lobby. I had requested off Lobby because that is what was stated on the Wilderness Lodge thread. Do you guys think that is ok? Maybe there really is no difference??? I want to be on a higher floor.
:confused3
