I have been reading that the rooms should be done by end of Sept. Are they also redoing any common areas, food court, restaurants, etc or should everything be done, completed by October?

Thanks!

I thought they already redid the rooms? I was there in 05 and 08 and the rooms were different in 08

You should check the WL thread; they post information such as that on the official threads.

They're in the process of a refurb right now, but I don't know the timeline. WDWKOOK runs a great WL thread - check it out, I'm sure she has all the info!

I agree.....the WL thread is very informative and WDWKOOK is great at keeping up with the progress of the refurb as well as any other things going on at the Lodge :thumbsup2.

Yes, thank you, I did but maybe I am missing something because I can't find if EVERYTHING will be done by the end of September...:confused3

Quote "The WL room rehab includes replacement of most bathroom fixtures including the tile and shower curtain, the flooring, drapery, bedding and fabric areas of existing furniture, including the headboard. The outdoor furniture will also be replaced and the room painted a lighter color. All hallway carpeting will also be replaced.

To ensure minimal disruption to guests, the rehab will use floor buffering, meaning, the floor beneath the wing being rehabbed will not be occupied by guests.

From July 7 - 27, the South Wing's 7th (CL) floor is being rehabbed. The CL floor will have to be closed from about July 7 - 13 due to the replacement of carpeting, etc... near the lounge which will have to be closed.

The entire WL room rehab is slated to be completed by the end of September 2012."

So, are they doing any construction to the main public areas?

No, nothing else is being rehabbed other than all the guest rooms and hallway carpeting which will all be completed by the end of September.

Thank you, mickeynut1:)

The thread is almost to 250 pages so I'll have to post a new thread this week. Hope everyone will join us!

You're welcome :goodvibes. I haven't posted on the WL FAQ in awhile, but I still wander over there as we love the Lodge and it's always a consideration when we're planning a trip ;).
