For our May trip we are staying at POFQ and really looking forward to it however I am already trying to plan a trip in 2006 and would like to stay at Wilderness Lodge for that one - I know that my kids would love a bunkbed room - I also know from reading on the boards that you can put in a request for a bunkbed room but it is not a sure thing - so for my question - Do you need to book a certain room type to get a better chance for a bunkbed room - Can I expect to get a bunkbed room if I book a regular view standard room or do I need a woodsview or courtyard view?

Thanks :flower:

We stay WL every year. I have requested bunkbed rooms on both woods view, courtyard view and concierge level. I have received them each and every time I have requested them. At times I had forgotten to request when booking and requested at check in and they were still able to accomodate us. You will love it there!

we always book standard room at WL with request for bunkbed room. When we check-in, we always restate to the front desk that we'd like a bunkbed room if possible. So far, we've received it every time.

Hi, the standard rooms at Wilderness Lodge don't have bunk beds, you must stay in a Woods View, Courtyard View or Concierge for this option.

STANDARD ROOMS: All Non-Smoking rooms with 2 Queen Beds.
Located on Floors 4,5 & 6. On the North(MK) side, they face the service area. There are also 4th floor rooms that overlook the lobby and look out to roof peaks. Lobby rooms do have balconies.

I have a Woods View booked for May and do NOT want bunk beds. Seeing as most people want bunk beds, I should easily get a room without them. Is that a good assumption?

Do you know a good floor to request for non-smoking and a decent balcony? I don't care much about the view as long as it's not the parking lot or garbage boxes.
Thank you!!

Stayed April last year. Didn't request it, but got it. View of quiet pool.

I called and spoke with Disney Reservations on this same issue. I was told Standard rooms can come with bunkbeds. I guess i will find out in May when we go there.

We just came back last week from a slpit stay batween POFQ and WL. We had requested woods view, and when we checked in, also requested bunkbeds and got it. The CM said that the one he gave us was the last one, so I will next time make sure I request it when I make the ressie. My kids anre 9 and 5 and loved the bunkbeds.

Thanks everyone - when we decide on dates for 2006 I will make sure to request the bunkbeds when I make the ressies! :flower:

>>>We booked standard room with bunk beds for July. As there are three ladies and one man, who is not married to any of the ladies, we better have bunk beds! They assured us that we would have one queen and bunk beds.

Hi Tink, yes when you check-in be sure to tell the CM.
I enjoy staying on the 5th floor North Wing over looking the otter pond, some (most since the hurricanes) have great views of the castle and WISHES.

Sorry but bunk beds are a request and not guaranteed :confused3 I'm not saying you will not receive your request. I'm just telling you the information that we over on the WL FAQ received from a CM that worked the front desk at the Lodge. Upgrades are always possible. I will be visiting the Lodge tomorrow and I'll try and get the information from the Manager. It may be next Tuesday before I post next, if any of you have additions questions I always try and check the WL FAQ a few times a day.

Thank you very much!!! Have fun at the Lodge! :goodvibes

I am sad to hear that there was so much damage from the hurricanes :sad2:
BUT I am physched because I was hoping to get a MK view next month (since my kids are generally in bed by 8pm- well 2 out of three of them) :cheer2:
We booked woodview...
was debating asking how much for an upgrade to concierege if available when we get there...

Our last trip I requested bunks - but needed an ajoining room
didn't get bunks :sad2: BUT got the adjoining room :goodvibes
AND an awesome upgrade - not requested - to courtview - we had a specatcular view of the pool/waterfall and watched the parade from our little porch! :flower:
I think a fairy 'ghost' :wizard: hooked me up :grouphug:

Can someone tell me if the bunkbeds are large enough for kids in their twenties? We have 2 rooms at the Riverside right now, but was thinking about staying at Wilderness and requesting bunkbeds.

Its possible, but my husband and myself both tried laying down with the kids and I though they were on the small side.

We have booked a woods view and would like to see the Mk and wishes if we can. Is the 5th floor North Wing over looking the otter pond the best room to request or should we request another section. Or does anyone have other suggestions.
Thanks.
