wilderness concierge

Hi everyone!


We are looking at booking Wilderness Lodge for December 09, and I am wondering what everyones thoughts are on concierge. I have a request in for this with my TA. For those of you that do this regularly, do you find Wilderness comparable to other resorts? Any feedback you can provide will be great!!

Book away!!!!! We have stayed on several of the concierge levels and this one is our favorite!!! To compare we've tried it at BWI, BC, YC, and AKL. WL is the best! The lounge is awesome!!!! It is separate from the seating area, which overlooks the lobby. You're sitting at tables around the railing, so it seems more intimate. In some of the lounges the tables are SO close together. Also, you get FULL SIZE deserts, rather than those mini deserts at the other lounges. The staff was awesome from beginning to end. They took care of everything we needed before we arrived and were great at getting last minute things, even though it was Thanksgiving weekend. Oh, yes-the lounge was never crowded, either.
We loved it so much, we are going back this year!

We stayed WL concierge in December. Great service, friendly staff. Decent breakfast offerings. My 10 year old loved the hot chocolate machine! The evening offerings weren't as extensive as the Poly concierge. Also, we could enter the Poly concierge late at night to get sodas, but they locked the door to the WL concierge food area at 10pm. Finally, the WL concierge is on the 7th floor and doesn't have a designated lounge,per se. The Poly CL is in a totally separate building. I did, however, like the price of WL CL--cheaper than Poly!!!

We stayed at WL concierge in Jan '08. We were very pleased with the offerings and the staff. There was cereal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, danish and fresh fruit every morning. In the eve there was always a hot soup and a hot dish (things like beef stroganoff), wine, beer and sodas. We had a hot dessert (berry cobbler) as well as cookies, brownies, etc. and a variety of cordials at dessert time. I would highly recommend WL concierge.

Our WL concierge trip is a little less than 6 weeks away but I can say so far that I have been thrilled with the attentiveness, expediency, and can-do attitude of the IPO staff. If the staff on-site are half as good as those on the phone and email it will be fantastic.
