I'm getting ready to trek into the Chicago suburbs (1 hour+ one-way ) to get my hair done. The loyalty we women show to our hairdressers. . . I'll spend the remainder of my day doing laundry and packing.

You know, the closer it gets to time for this cruise, the more anxiety I get about meeting some people. Now, I won't name names (Shell & Wendy), but I am sure some of you can guess who I am talking about here!

Hope everyone is having a great day! Lisa and I are giving up our tickets to Ga. Tech's last home game so that we can get the house ready for the house sitter. Even though he is a friend, you never know where he might go exploring!

DS has 3 count 'em 3 dance classes today, so you won't be hearing much out of me today. He truly is addicted to Dance, do you think they have 12 step programs for 7 year olds?

Hey Everyone...I just got off the phone with Shirley...what a sweet, sweet lady. She is running to the post office this morning so she can get postcards out to DS and DD so they will have them before we leave. Isn't that nice?

I did spend more $$$ than I planned on, but oh well...it's for vacation

Kelly - most of the Pitt grads I know, like myself, are cheering for RU to stay undefeated. RU handed my team its first of four - soon to be five - consecutive defeats and I should be bitter but I'd rather see RU win the Big East than WVU or Louisville!

Bob, just for all those little slams, I'm going to make it my mission on this cruise to get Lisa to come over to OUR side (that's Wendy, Cheri & Me)!

Hooray ... couple more things off the list this morning ... got the regional gift purchased. It was the LAST ONE in the store!!! Can't believe it was there for me to grab! Got all my bank transactions done. Going to write checks for all the bills due on 12/1, inventory the toiletries and such and see what we're missing, and I think we're close to being ready to go!

Oh yeah ... and spa (read: waxing) appointment on Wednesday! Bill was asking exactly what that entails this morning. As I explained, he said, "And will all your scabs be healed by the time we leave?" Silly men!

BIG football weekend here. Unless you've been in a cave, you know this afternoon is Ohio State/Michigan (RIP Bo, thanks for the memories), #1 and #2, 6.5 point spread last time I looked. Tomorrow is Browns/Steelers. OK, we only watch for the nostalgia ... gawd knows we're not watching for the strategic genious of the Browns coaching staff!

For what it's worth, I'm cheering for the buckeyes. Always liked 'em plus they beat Penn State every year and that makes me happy!

Good afternoon all. My sis and I are cleaning the house for the day, so it'll be nice and tidy for when we return (God forbid ). I also cleaned my dog, she doesn't like it too much but it must be done! She smells better after the wet dog smell goes away. Less than a week less. Next week we'll be getting on the ship.

Just dropping in to see what has been happening today around here.
8 more posts and we wil be at 5500 posts!! Boy the last 1500 posts have really gone quickly.
next week DH and I are gonna walk down the beach to watch the ship pull in around 5:30 a.m.. It usually docks around 6 a.m.
I want to take the cam corder and get it going by all lite up in the dark.

well I am off to see what kind of trouble I can get into around here today, I seem to be good at that sort of thing.

LOL - With the way my luck has been going, this may have been what the Browns needed to win tomorrow - my betting against em. So it may all work out for you anyway and I may have yet ANOTHER cocktail on my onboard account (not that I'd notice it probably!)

Afternoon all: Well got home from work and was working out in shed putting away the patio stuff....found a nest of mice...yuk...got them outa there. But man my lungs are getting tight feeling....I am just hoping I am not getting bronchitis.....Monday get an inhaler and start using it....I have advir and that helps but need some albuteral.....

After I got home I am looking at jack, and I think he has an eye infection. So now I have to get him to the vet Monday and get him going on antibiotics...geez....if it aint one thing its another

Gonna do a little cleaning around here, then off to do some shopping.. then watch the MAGIC leave......yeah next week that will be us

Cheri: Funny to read that you're treking into the Chicago burbs for a haircut. My friend, Sue (who lives in the Detroit area), drove 85 miles today to mid-Michigan for a haircut. Just an excuse to get together and shop and have lunch. We shared the banana chocolate cake at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Delicious.

OHMYGOSH! 1 WEEK TO GO!!! Our bags are packed and I'm researching trip insurance...just never know what will happen. So excited to meet everyone. There's no way I can go back through this thread and catch up on everything I've missed.

So, unless it's changed...we're meeting at Signals at 3 for banana daiquiries? Is that correct? If not, can someone email me and let me know where we're supposed to be. Shell has my email address and I don't have access to our Cruise List so I can't remember if our email addresses are on there.
