Good Morning Everyone!

We leave one week from tomorrow

DD went off to school this morning...she's feeling well enough to go...hopefully she will make it thru whole day.
It seems that her, DH and myself all have a little virus of some sort...dealing with some aches and general blahs but other than that we're ok. We should all be back in the swing of things in a day or two.

Going to get myself in gear now. I'll be back later.

Morning all,
I know I am late posting today but like so many others I woke up not feeling well today. Even had to cancel an important appointment for today. Oh well!!

most of the ladies are going to wear a tiara to our meet in the promenade lounge and again on formal night to dinner. Some have old ones from high school days others have just bought them recently. Feel free to join in the crazyness if you want!!
Dont remember if I told you but there is a gift exchange if your interested at the meet too. One gift per family,$10 limit. we are thinking of an ornament or a regional gift. we will be picking names from a hat to exchange them for those who bring gifts. so feel free to join in if you want.

well we were only a few posts short of 100 posts again yesterday, Our internet went down during a thunderstorm so I couldnt get back on to help out Hopefully today we will make a
100 again.

we are rainy and cool but suppose to clear out by afternoon. we are saving all the nice for the 24th.

Mostly sunny, high 77, low 60. So, it should be a wonderful day to start a cruise.

I see that a bunch of people have NOT heeded my warnings about illness. When I bark something, I mean it. For those of you even THINKING about getting sick, I haven't taken my rabies meds and I'm in a biting mood....grrrr.

That is one of the classics in our house!

A couple of our favorite scenes include -- Owen (the guy who's supposed to take them to the train station) and his wife. "Train don't run outta Wichita, unless yer a hog or a cattle. . ."

Anther great scene is the whole car wreck part --
"You're going the wrong way! You're going to kill someone!"
"How do they know where we're going? They must be drunk. . .!"
Then after the brush with the semis -- "This isn't so bad, it'll buff right out."

My dad has used that phrase numerous times!!!

And a bit of trivia:

As they're getting close to Chicago in the back of the refrigerated truck, they show the historic court house in Woodstock -- a block from our office! Typical of any John Hughes movie!

Love that movie!
