When you say you saw the Magic sail away, does that mean you are there?
Did you see Suttle Atlantis launch this morning!?!? I wanna see that! That's what I'm hoping for, that one time, I can see a suttle launch from on the Magic at Port Canaveral!

What a good launch today though. Everything went smoothly. All three engines performed flawlessly. For some reason I thought something might have gone wrong (knock on wood), but it didn't thankfully. They're going to replace some parts of the ISS (International Space Station), and fix some problems that they had in the past. It's a new chapter for the ISS. Good luck to all of them .

Well both my DH and dog survived the walk/ tug o war!
Minnie now weighs 50 pounds!!
I was very proud of Minnie, she pulled like crazy for about 1/4 mile, then she started walking as she should. DH kept praising her and most of the walk she walked next to his right side with a loose leash!!
I am a proud mommy

But when she got close to our house she recognised it and wanted to run for the door, she was hot and tired!!! Then she rested on the cool tile floor, had some water and a treat.

Tomarrow will be round 2.
If she does as well tomarrow as today, it wont be long she will be well trained. So far she has trained very easily for other things.

We watched the Magic pull out tonight, as usual, dreaming of only 11 more weeks and we will be on it!!

Wow, you all sure keep busy here. I have had such a crazy two weeks, but things should be settling down now. We took an inpromptu trip to see my parents over the holiday weekend. It's an 8 hour drive with the three kids and a dog. Came back and unpacked our stuff we had in storage while hubby was job hunting. Got ready for a garage sale that was today. We made almost $70 for cruise spending money. Then went and spent most of it at a local festival instead.

The great news is that hubby, Kevin, got the job he wanted. The agreed to let him take vacation for the cruise, but a couple of days will be without pay.

The bad news is that our dog is very ill. She had cancer for a couple of months, but has taken a turn for the worst. She is 11 and I am not counting on her being around in another week. So hard to deal with it. We haven't even got to be happy about the job.

I do hope to be around more now. So I can get to know everyone better. I need to send a picture in as well. I will get on that next week. I need to figure out what reservations we need to make too.

You and my DH are really going to hit it off. He's a music junkie...pretty muc anything and everything (with the exception of country - sorry if I offended anyone! - that's him not me!)
His best friends wife still talks about when they were in high school at the beach and as soon as a note or 2 would play on the radio DH would know what song it was and usually what album it was off of.

Oye! That sounds like my dh as well. And he 'tests' me. I usually fail because i'm more interested in listening than knowing who it is. Together, though, we cover most of the spectrum. I'm the classical / blues /jazz side of the house and he's the county / rock- er.

I can't WAIT til we can meet in person!

Hey Carrie...glad to hear about your DH getting the job....and really sorry to hear about your dog. Shell and I had to put our dear Sammy down and it was a really bad time for us. Its almost been a year and we still talk about him nearly every day. I guess its all part of the healing process but its always sad to lose a member of the family. We feel for your situation.

Good Morning Nana Heads ,

How is everyone's weekend going?? Well last night DH and I went out to dinner and DS screamed from alittle while after we left for my mom. Thank God for Elmo !!!! Today we are going to Sam's Club to get a few things and then relax. I am going to wash all DS 6 month shorts and shirts and pack them for the cruise. I am getting more and more exicted every day!! 11 weeks to we cruise !!!

Kathy:That great that Minnie only pulled alittle. My mom's dog is 110 lbs and still pulls. Great Job Minnie !! That is so cool that you can watch the Magic pull out!! I wish I could do that !!

Carrie: Great News that DH got a job !! I am so sorry to here about your dog.
My thoughts are with you!!

Carrie, so sorry to hear about your dog, I have been there , done that too!!
I feel for you, just got our dog 2 months ago, so hopefully we will have many years with her like you've had with your dog. My thoughts are with you!!

Lynn, you can watch the ship pull out as long as you have a computer and are on line.

Go to www.twopalms.com This is a shot of the ocean, just after the ship clears the channel. The ship will pass by some where from 5:20 to 5:45 depending if she leaves on time . You will need to refresh the picture every 2 or 3 minutes because after that long it is a still picture of the sea.
If you check it a little early you will see a carnival ship pass by too. also after the ship has gone by, click on todays snapshots and you will see pictures of the ships as they pass by. If you play with the iste some you will catch on, it is easy.
Local6.com has a cam right at the port, but it is often not working or points the other direction. but when it works you can see the hsip at he teminal and watch it go down the channel right at 5 p.m. But as I said it rarely seems to be working corrctly.

As my DH expressed, we completely understand what you are going through with your dog, and I couldn't say it any better than he did. We'll be thinking of you.

Denise: Mexican Radio was a song from the 80s, believe it or not! It was sung by a group called (ready?) Wall of Voodoo. Yeah, it was a quick death in the pop world for them

Kathy: Tell Greg to keep up the good work with Minnie! Eventually, she will have him trained properly!!!

MomX4 - You may not be QUITE the oldest (we'll have to compare) but let's look at it this way - while the young puppies are busy raising their kids - discipline, table manners, chauffering, yada yada, WE are old enough to PLAY with their kids and send them home when play time is over. Morning fellow cruisers.....well can you believe that tomorrow we will be at our 75 day mark>>>>> and I get to make my reservations...... but I'm not really that excited.

Well is gloomy, overcast and raining here today. I have a christing to go to this afternoon. My little great nephew. Other than that no other earth shattering news is going on here. Just keeping on eye on these dogs.

Carrie glad to hear you DH has gotten the job, Sorry about your dog, its very hard, we had to put our dog down a few years back its like losing a member of your family...which they are. from us to your family.

Well, your quite lucky, for my dog, Lucy, is 9 and still can't walk right! She can't even walk straight! So much for teaching an old dog new tricks .

Saw my spanish teacher today in the store (will I ever get rid of her for good?!? ) Oh well. Back to school it is then.
