Its been sunny here the last couple of days. We planted our garden friday, cut the lawn on saturday and today shopping and laundry....I know, I know, now dont be jealous because I lead such an exciting life.

Gee, Denise...how can I be jealous? I mowed the grass AND tilled the garden Saturday, went shopping and did laundry Sunday...but we couldn't plant here.
Frost advisory...IN MAY?? I guess the good news is its supposed to be 85 by Saturday in NE ohio...so the garden will get planted. What do you plant in your area? We do cucumbers, romas, banana peppers, carrots and such. Its not a big garden so we're kinda limited.

And this coming from a person whose state's biggest claim to fame is Cleveland! Let's see, that made Drew Carey famous, so I guess it is SOMETHING to be proud of....

We just plant tomatoes, bell peppers and some habenero's. But we moved our garden location, so that included getting the new section ready also. I'm just getting to old for all this yard work!!

I'll be looking forward to Southern 101. I have Sirius satellite radio in the car and have been listening to the Blue Collar comedy tour....which seems to have alot of people from the Southern states - so at least I will have all your stereotypes down pat LOL.

Weather here has been crazy. We were having great normal spring weather when all of a suddent this weekend it has gotten really cool - maybe 10 degrees above freezing. And yesterday I was volunterring at a Horse Show at the barn where I ride and it was gale force winds, rain that turned to hail/sleet and freezing - NOT pleasant!! Oh well, today is a holiday Monday for us (I think yours is next weekend?) so DS and I are getting ready to go to the zoo - hopefully the weather is better today - it's still cool right now but sunny so fingers crossed it will stay that way!

I got too old for the gardening and yard work years ago!!!

I have to admit I loved having a big garden when we lived in Oregon.
Corn, beans,zucchini,tomatos, and sweet peas. YUMMY!!!

Denise, Bill, Shel, any of you guys sending our CARE packages at harvest time??? If so, put my name first on the list!!!

We has so much last year, all of our friends were over-run with vegetables. I'm pretty sure we can accomodate you Kathy (as long as we have a decent crop, that is...with our wacky weather, who knows).

Yay we are finally warming up again this week. By the end of the week we should be in the low 80's. Looking forward to some good weather this holiday weekend.
Glad Monday work day is over...very busy....I hate Mondays..hope the rest of the week is better. Well only 3 days left for me, I took friday off, my DH and I are doing a belated anniversay dinner friday evening..so a nice 4 day weekend.

Hey everyone...Happy tuesday! (yeah, I like the lil banana-man thingee....).
If anyone needs a 6 month booster shot on DCL... I believe the Travel channel is airing (or re-airing...not sure if this ones new or not) the Disney Cruise Line special. June 1st and 2nd if I remember. Check the website and listings for times. Something on the 8th too, I believe. Just do a search on Disney Cruise and check "listings".

Hello everyone...been away from the boards for a while. Me, Andy & the kids sufferning from colds, ear infections, croupe, pink eye........all that fun stuff, but we're on the mend. Six months from Thursday!!!!! Can't wait. I hope everyone is having a great week.

Thanks Kathy! I hope you are feeling better. It is certainly a nasty bug. I was back to the pediatrician with the kids 3 times this past week but it looks like we are getting better.

Nothing new to report...can't wait for the vacation.....I won't feel totally comfortable until I can book my airfare. I'm waiting for Southwest to extend their bookings to November & December. Hopefully soon!

The past 2 years Southwest has opened through mid december at least around the 15th of July.
Of course I start checking obsessivly around the beginning of June, but it has been the 2nd thursday in July for 2 years now.
