Shell - I'd like to see the Sunny stuff as well. Is it an appropriate tour for those of us with kids? We've been to St. John before - we LOVE it there - but DD nearly 3 can't go on the DCL excursions so we are going to skip that this time and thought this tour of STT might be fun. I checked out Sunny's website and it looks like a perfect mix of shopping/wandering the town, sightseeing and beach time. But I am curious as to if it is ok for kids. (ours love shopping, riding on buses and the beach, so I thought this'd be fun).
Thanks!
jeff

Jeff, I just e-mailed everything to you. Jan's been on Sunny's tour before so she'd be a better one to ask about taking the little ones. Jan??

Hi Pat,
I knew we were close, but wasnt sure just how close. I do go to the Villages for shopping sometimes and I knew you went there too, so we had to be close. :goodvibes

Shell,
our current Nana Head count is 2542
we are much fewer than the first 100 pages were. I think Bill is goofing off on his job as the banana man. He should be recruiting people to post them!!
Where is our fearless Banana leader????

joelidol,
how was school today?? :teacher:

IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL.
Pat
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Pat has cursed us with the worst song of all to have stuck in your head! :rolleyes1

AAAHHHH! Yes she did ... she trumped all of us with that one! It's a world of laughter, world of tears ... c'mon, everyone now ...

Shell, I decided Madonna for formal and Cyndi Lauper "girls just want to have fun" ish for semi any thoughts :rolleyes1

Ok how about Karma Cameleon from Culture Club for our 80's throw back. personally like a virgin by Madonna was my favorite :rotfl2:

"A world of hope and a world of fear" next :rotfl2:

School was fine, thanks for asking. I joined a club today called the Model UN (you might have heard of it from your local school). Seems a bit cut-throat. We talked about past events, such as Hezbollah and Israel. Every statement I made was shot down by another question I couldn't answer. :guilty:

There's about seventy or so people in the club :grouphug: , but I'm glad to be there.

Spanish III is muy dificil (very hard) in my perspective, but its very fun too.
AP US is intimidating as well, but looking forward to the 1900s (I'm learning about the early 1720s right now).

See 'yall later!!! :3dglasses

Hey Everyone! Checking in late today...the kids went back to school :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I am now officially a mom of a middle schooler - aagghh! When the heck did that happen.

Anyway it's been a crazy day around here and I'm am going to bed very shortly...well after DH gets home and we watch Rockstar Supernova which we recorded on tivo (yes we are hooked on it - we love music in the house).

Shell - thank you kindly - how about this one - Walk Like an Egyptian......

I'll check in tomorrow - hopefully it won't be AS crazy :Pinkbounc

Kelly

Your kids are luckier than I am, I went back to school last week. :sad2:
SO BORRRRRRING! :teacher: :teacher:
Congrats on being a middle school mom though.

Jeff: On our Sunny Liston tour last year, there were a couple of kids. When we are picked up at noon after morning shopping, the Island tour lasts about 1.5 hours -- about 30 minutes of that is at Mountain Top -- restrooms, bar, food, shops, beautiful view, etc.; then Sunny took some people to Coki and the rest of us went to Sapphire. By the way, Sunny doesn't collect his fee until we return to the ship. If anyone is thinking about touring with Sunny, you might want to contact him ASAP as he is limited to a certain number of guests. Sunny's competitor - Godfrey -- also does similar tours. We picked up some Godfrey guests at one of the ships on our way to shop.

Jeff: Doesn't Michigan State play Pitt next season? We'll have to have a friendly wager on that game.

Pat: My oldest turns 35 on 9/11. My daughters are 33.

By the way, it's a beautiful day in mid-Michigan today.

STOP THE INSANITY!!! - Ok...that gets my vote for one of the WORST songs to come out of the 80's. Anyone else???

JOELIDOL - sorry you've been in school longer...but you will also get out a lot sooner than my kids...we don't get out until June 14th and that's if we don't have any snow days...which we ALWAYS do.

"There's so much that we share that it's time we're aware....." next...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That was a good one, honey!

Linda: We're doing the 10 a.m. pick up. I think Jan is doing the 9 a.m.

Wendy: My thoughts ... depends on the Madonna era for formal night ... Will it be the "Lucky Star" era? "True Blue"? "Papa Don't Preach" (you need really bushy dark eyebrows to pull that off)? :rotfl:

joelidol,
I think your Model UN club would be fun and quite a challenge for everyone.
I never made it through spanish 3. Spanish 2 was as far as I went. Speaking it was ok, but when we started having to learn all the sentence structures and write it all down on paper, that was too much for me!!!! :rolleyes1
Have fun with your club. :teeth:

Kathy

This is for everyone but more specifically, its directed to someone who recently said "stop the insanity!" Does ANYONE here remember Cheers? (yep, a very 80's tv show). Anyone remember the song Woody created for his girlfriend, uh,....KELLY? I believe it went something like "Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, K-E-L-L-Y....why?????".....you can fill in the rest.....
enjoy...

HI All,

Sorry I havn't posted in a while. DS started JK today (*sniff*). All went really well I think. He basically won't tell me how his day went - which is nothing new as he played this game in pre-school as well. I can just imagine what it will be like when he is a teen if he won't talk to me now LOL! He is in a private school which is completely french speaking. AS you might know, french is the second official language up here and I think if we can get him started on the right foot it will open doors in the future (at least that's my hope!!). The nice thing about his school is the class size is very small - there are 9 children in his class. I like that he will get alot of individual attention. Plus he looks really cute in his uniform LOL! Anyway, we are going to be perpetually poor for the forseeable future, but hey - what else is new LOL.

In regards to the Canadian football put-down - I don't have much of a rebutal as unfortunately it does stink. We do have our fans up here, but I am not one of them. I am a Packers fan (stop booing now!!!) and really enjoy the NFL.

Does anyone remember a band in the 80's called Platinum Blond??

:dance3: Hello everyone....lets keep these posts coming...we need to make our 3000 count.

Ok...I sorta skiped the 80's to some degree. Thoes were my "baby years" having and raising them, so I guess I didnt get into the music that much...so I'm a little lost on some of these songs. However, I do remember the "big hair" :) so who will be wearing their favorite 80's hairdo? :smooth:

Nothing else going on here tonight just sitting here and watching and trying to keep these  dogs under control. They are driving me nuts....this will be a very loooonnnnggg year.

Mutt: I do remember the Kelly song however, as cheers was one of my favorite shows.

Later Denise......

Kathy this one is for you .....you said you needed more nana's

Dutchsmommy: Does your DS speak english at home and French in school?? Wow, if so, how does he do keeping the 2 languages separate?? I took 4 years of French in high school and was an exchange student as well-when I came home I was so excited to see my mom that I spoke sentences with both languages in it!! That's great to know both!!! I can now barely speak english :rotfl2:

Does anyone remember the Flock of Sea Gulls??? Got to love that guy's hair in that video!!! Gosh I loved the '80's-my only regret was I never got to see Journey-Steve Perry in those tight jeans with all that hair--WOW :woohoo:

Have a great night!
Okie

Ok, that's just cruel. I had a friend that I used to work with who LOVED to sing that song to me. I have to admit, I haven't heard that in a while - thanks for reminding me.

Shell, I was thinking more along the lines of lucky star since I plan on having a touch up on the roots before the cruise. Plus all I need to do is dig way deep in the closet and pull out the outfits I wore when we used to lip sync at the clubs.... now be afraid very afraid..... :rotfl:

Okie Iloved flock of seagulls and loved the movie The Wedding Siger when the airline agent had that hair :dance3:

Sorry Mutt I don't remember the kelley song all I can remember is NORMMMMM
