I am looking for recommendations for WiiWare downloads. What have you downloaded that is fun and what isn't?

I was thinking about Big Kahuna Party (big Mario Party fans here) has anyone tried it?

We have "Home Sweet Home" and play it alot- I am almost done with it. It's a little tedious but as soon as I get a room done I am too curious about the next one to stop.

We have "Game Show King" too- it is fun for a Trivia Game and the way the answering works is fun too. Everyone can see what others chose so you can try to trick people into changing their answers by picking the wrong one and then changing to the right one at the last second. The first person on the right answer gets the most points and then points decrease for subsequent right answers by other players. There are a few other twists that make answering more fun too.

"Brain Challenge" is ok, but I like my Big Brain Academy game (regular store bought game) much better- it was worth the little bit extra. Brain Challenge can be hard to see because the graphics are small (we have a decent sized TV too) which makes it difficult. I don't think it would be good for kids either.

World of Goo is pretty cool. It's the only one we've gotten so far. Warning, it gets hard FAST.

I have heard good things about this game, but what do you actually do? What is the goal of the game? From what I have seen it is just for goofing around so I figure I must be missing the goal of the game.

Good thread! DS13 has some Wiipoints sitting around waiting to be spent. I wondered if any of the games were good or just duds.

Any other reviews?

DH got Mario 64 to bring back some old memories.

I am hoping for more. I have Wiipoints butning a hole in my Wiimote but the choices are overwhelming and I'm sure alot of them are crap.

That was one of the first ones we downloaded, too. :)

I also got F-Zero - one of my old favorites.:thumbsup2

We have all the old Mario games that were available- they are fun time wasters but I can't get into them like I used too. What type of game is F-Zero? Flying?

Anyone? Do y'all not download games? I know quite a few Wii owners who are not online.:badpc:

i've never tried to play online ,our service is so bad where we live and we constantly get kicked off so i just dont bother ,it really makes my ds18 mad though,he has an xbox 360 and the wii and it gets very frustrating around here sometimes...we cant get cable where we live either,so its either move or just deal with getting kicked off..he gets kicked off i dont bother!

I would highly recommend LostWinds. It is an utterly charming platformer/puzzle game. It is a lot better than many of the commercial games that have come out in the genre and has been so well received that a sequel is currently being made.

Thanks- that sounds like something I would like. I'll have to check it out.
