wii Toy Story Mania 3D

We like the game.....but we've not unlocked the 3D that I know of? Can you play it normally without the 3D even after you unlock it? I don't do well with 3D movies or anything so we'll just play it regular if we can.

After you've been playing for a while and earn some tickets you can go to the prize section. I believe that's where you can "buy" some of the games in 3D. Then you have to go to the free play section at the main menu select 3D and then select the 3D game you want to play.

The 3D is definitely 3D to me :confused3 I don't really know what everyone else is talking about.

The regular game is not 3D. And yes, you can go into Story mode and play those games in 2D even after you have them in 3D.

We thought the game was fun for a group. We even brought it over to my parents last night. We played with 4 generations and the great-grandparents were really getting into it. :goodvibes

Hoping some one can help me.

When we paly the game in story mode and successfully cmplete some of the games, it tells us that we have unlocked them in free play. BUT when I go into free play they aren't there, its just the pie shooting practise thats there. Any ideas where am going wrong.

By the way I just love this game although I haven't played in 3D yet

Thanks

I'm not a Wii TSM expert, just got it for Xmas but yes, you can play both 2D and 3D versions after you unlock the 3D. We just did it last night (had enough tickets to unlock games in 3D and tried it). We'll stick to the 2D version -- it's a much crisper picture.

However, my DH wants to upgrade the A/V cable and said we might/should see improvements with the new cable.

My kids and I got TSM for Christmas and are having a lot of fun with it. The 3-D feature is a little disappointing, but we still love the game. We are having problems completing all the objectives on 2 of the games, though. On Bo Peep's Baaloon Pop we never get the flower filled with bees and on Hamm and Eggs we never get the pigs. Has anyone else had these problems or do you have any suggestions???? Thanks.

Shoot faster! :rotfl:

Seriously, it seems when I get more of the objectives sooner, I get the flower. Same with the pigs. And when the flower does come out, you have to shake the remote really fast to open up all the petals or else it dies.

Are your scores making the Top 5 for the games?

(Just remember I'm a newbie, too, so I may not know what I'm talking about!)

LOL! Thanks! I'm not sure if we are in the top 5 on those games - I'll have to check when we play it tomorrow. We don't have any trouble getting any of the other objectives, but maybe we just aren't fast enough yet.

There is a spinner to the left that you have to spin to get the other games to pop up.

Has anyone gotten through the story mode and unlocked the five tent?

We just got back from our trip to the land of Mickey. The kids had a blast playing the live game in Hollywood Studios, so when I saw a pre-owned version available at Blockbuster I picked it up to surprise them. The only downside? No glasses available through Blockbuster. Does anyone know if there's a way to get just the glasses through Disney or some other source?

The 3D is horrible! The game is fun, but if someone gets it for 3D, prepare to be disappointed.

Agreed. Our family enjoys the game, but it just doesn't stack up to the real deal at DHS. And after all, when you think of all the computing power behind the attraction, I guess we shouldn't expect too much from the family Wii. Game - Cool. 3d - Not so much.

i think it's b/c of the glasses. those cheap red and blue kind are awful to watch something on tv with. we have ours from the theatre that we kept and use for at home 3D stuff and it's a much better pic. but we also have a tv set up for 3D effects.

my kids got it for Christmas and after playing it for about 20 minutes they really weren't into it. However, they absolutely LOVE the Super Mario Bros. game.:confused3

The same is true for my kids. The didn't take to the Toy Story game, but love love New Super Mario. We now have four controllers and everyone plays together. Fun game! I also purchased TSM on the target deal, so I guess I didn't totally waste my $50.

Yep, we do. We enjoy playing this game! I like picking my tents depending which scenes I want to play.

Yup we don't get any 3D effects at all when we play the 3D games. Glad it's not just me. We do have a really old TV though so I'm thinking that has something to do with it.
