Is something stuck in your brain or something? The PS1 had a tilt axis controller. There is nothing revolutionary about it. Sony and Microsoft both had controllers that had tilt motion sensing.

You honestly have no idea how the Wiimote works do you?
The only part that has tilt in it is the Numchuk attachment which does everything the sixaxis PS3 controller does. (six degrees of motion)
The Wiimote itself has no more tilt sensing in it than my computer does. It uses a sensor bar set on top or below the T.V. to detect pinpoints on the screen. This is what is used in FPS to aim the reticule. The PS3 controller cannot mimic sword slashes like the Wii, or aim for FPS. It is good only for controlling vehicles in games basically.
So yes, the Sixaxis does everything the Wiimote can, or at least half of it.
Wii gets a Resident Evil Exclusive as they were having to rework the controls for the Wii. Rayman Raving Rabbids used to be a multiplat game but has now since become a Wii Exclusive. Several reviews of Zelda are in, and many claim that it surpasses OoT (considered by many in the industry as the greatest game of all time) Many said they would not dare play Zelda with a gamecube controller even again, and want to use the Wiimote.
Also a history lesson. No company has been able to maintain majority of the market share for more than 2 gens. Also everytime, the weaker system always wins out.
NES was weaker, SNES was weaker, PS1 was weaker, PS2 was weaker. There were several others before that where the weaker won as well.
Another look is how the weakest handheld wins as well. All of the Gameboy iterations have beaten out technologically superior handhelds, yet are still going strong.
And the whole Bluray is a deal thing. It is still 600 dollars. There is a greater chance of HD pulling ahead of BluRay.
I also love the idea of the News Network on the Wii, as well as the Mii's, internet browser, photo and movie editor, and the Weather channel.
