One of the best things about the Wii is the fact that you are only paying for one thing - A game machine. Nintendo correctly realizes that most people already have a computer to go online with, and a DVD player to watch movies on, so why charge half a grand to give you duplicates of what you already have?
Now, the Wii will offer a internet like connection for legaly downloading many of nintendos older classics (yes I know that xbox and PS can be modified to do that, but it isn't legal), plus the Nintendo will have compatibility with all of the Gamecube games. (I doubt they will have any compatibility problems like the PS)
But most of all the Wii will give you the only true real life controller that moves as you do. Sony desperately tried to imitate this at the last minute, and the results have been pretty bad. (Just spend a little time on a video game board to read up on the various reviews).
The Wii also has some of the best games for younger children, plus they are now reaching out to a much greater fan base by offering titles to induce all sorts of adults to play (band leading, painting, IQ boosters, etc...) as well as nintendos unmatched characters - Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, etc...
All in all, the Wii is a package that can not be touched. Pricewise they are by far the most affordable, the new controler is unique and groundbreaking, they have the greatest appeal to the most people, and they have the most recognizable characters in all of the gaming world. The only area where the Wii is not the best is for hard-core gamers who want the best graphics (which does not necessarily mean the best game play), and are willing to pay A LOT more for it.

I guess we will just have to wait and see on Sunday.
I play one game a year when I do play. I also do not play 1st person shooter, sports, racing, etc...
