Wii Fit?

We love our Wii Fit. It was my Christmas present from DH. They are still hard to find around here. DSS decided AFTER Christmas to take back the World Tour set his mom bought him and now he wants the Wii Fit, too. I wish he would have decided this BEFORE Christmas. DH went to Walmart every morning on his way to work and lucked out a week before Christmas and snagged 2 of them. We sold the other one on eBay but it could have gone to DSS instead.

Anyway, it's fun because it has the whole family up and competing against each other. DH gets off work about an hour before me and every day when I come home, he's already on there!

That combined with WW lost me 5 pounds this week!!!!!!

I got Wii Fit for Christmas, and I am lovin' it! I've lost 8 pounds so far. Super hula hoop is the best, and I really love the long distance running. Except when I start going too fast and it makes my Mii trip. That earns a laugh. Seems like every one else is enjoying theirs as well. :) My favorite way to do it is to start with some strength training, then do at least 20 minutes of cardio, then round it off with some yoga. It really is a good way to get your warm-up, work out, and cool-down in. :)

I did REALLY bad at the soccer game!!!! I got hit with more shoes than soccer balls! Also, I missed all the slalom gates in the skiiing!!!!!

We have completely given up on the soccer game, no one here can do it. The slalom and ski jump are our favorites, DH and I try to break each other's records. I unlocked the "meditation" one where you sit on the balance board and be very still...... didn't like that one much. Trying to beat the snow board challenge now, and the bubble.

Love the balance games, but I think the workout section moves too slow. You have to have extra time to get 30 minutes of real exercise in. It's fun though other than that.

I just got a WiiFat...oops, WiiFit....and I love it! I'm still unlocking the fun things to do...like the boxing workout. Love that.

I'm going to try and figure out if there's a way to turn off some of the trainer dialog. I agree, it goes on too long.

I agree. To help with this I do the Free Step (under Aerobic Activity) for either 10 or 20 minutes (don't know if it goes longer---yet) while watching the tv. I keep moving and there is not relly any dialogue to listen too. It can also work up a real sweat if you challenge yourself to take X amount of steps. Oh, and I ahve also started carrying hand weights during this to help with my arms. HTH.

DF does this and is soo excited that he has traps!
Me on the other hand...fell off the wii fit wagon this week. School started, I'v been eatting convience foods...bad...just bad...So, I'm making lunches this weekend and working on at least getting my BMI to 22...I"m at 23.91 I think...this was at the recommendation of the BB on the screen. Lets see if this helps.

Your Time Clock Turns Orange When You've Hit 10 Hours!

My clock turned orange this morning. I love the free step! I did 30 minutes of that today after doing 2 miles on my elliptical...then i did another mile on the the elliptical tonight. I've lost 4.2 lbs in the last 3 days. I'm loving it.

I have My Fitness Coach. I like it but am building up my cardio for awhile so I don't die doing the workout. I don't handle the jumping well. I need to try to adjust it better.

I also like the hula hoop and the running on the Wii Fit.

has any been doing the advanced step? :thumbsup2 i love it but wonder if it gets faster or longer. i am getting bored with it...:crazy2:

love the super hula hoop:cheer2:

but still neet to get consistant with it all so that i can see some results!

I love the super hula hoop ONE way, but my hips don't swing the other way, evidently!

I'd like the step to go much longer, too...hope it upgrades at some point.

Nope, it doesn't get any longer or faster

Have you done the free step? that can be set for 3 different lengths and then you can adjust the speed...not fast enough for me but still pretty good. I try to do at least 30 minutes of that everyday. i get part of a one hour show in while doing it.

lost 1.3 lbs since yesterday.

I would like to get a Wii Fit, but I have been unable to find one. I have both of my brothers and my sister helping me look (as well as my step-daughter and my husband's ex-wife who is a wonderful woman), but to no avail.

Since last summer, I have lost thirty pounds, but want to lose about twenty more. I'll settle for ten if I could just get over my hump. I seem to be stuck.

Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has used Wii Fit to help strengthen and tone as well as for the aerobic work out. I just got one and it seems to work-I can feel it where I am supposed to. I was wondering if anyone had any success.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I am absolutely addicted to my Wii Fit!!! I have used the Yoga, Aerobics & strength training each day and really enjoy it. I really enjoy the advanced & free step. I try to mix a little yoga in with the aerobics or strength training.

I started last Sunday and since then have done it every night after work (except Tuesday) and have lost 8.5 pounds!!! I am slowly seeing my pants get a little looser and I'm definitely sleeping better each night. I have set realistic goals for myself and am working hard to hit each one. I'm actually 1.5 pounds from my first goal weight loss of 10 pounds. I know it's going to take some time and dedication to reach my ultimate goal, but I am definitely seeing results with the Wii Fit.

I found mine at my local Best Buy just by pure luck. I had been calling and looking at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. for a few days with no luck. I happened to call my local Best Buy last Friday, as my friends & I were heading to a restaurant across from there for lunch that day. Thought I would hear "nope", but instead got "I'm holding one in my hands right now and how quickly can you get here." I flew down there and picked it up even before we had lunch. I would just keep checking and you are bound to find one. Also, check other stores in your area, as your local one may not have one, but another store 10 miles away may. Also, Best Buy told me that if they advertise the Wii or Wii Fit in their Sunday ad, they have to have at least 10 in stock in the store. If you see it in the ad, be sure to be there right when the store opens and you may luck out.

It was in our local Best Buy flyer this past Sunday and by the time we got there they were all gone. I had looked on Ebay but the prices they were going for just wasn't going to work for me. DH got to looking on-line last night and found out our local Game Stop had them, he called and they had some in stock. Since we are less than 5 min away, he went up there, purchased one and got it for what Best Buy was advertising it for on sale...$89.99.

Just got mine set up and took the test, I have about 11 pounds to go before it says I'll be in the normal range. I have lost right at 39 pounds since the beginning of September. I don't have a goal date in mind, just trying to take it one week at a time.

89.99 is the price that Best Buy always has it for. I lucked out the day I got mine in December. I saw a woman with one in her cart and she showed me where the last one was. Then another person was looking and they brought out 5 more.
I have lost about 23 pounds and I have about 38 to go for ideal weight though I'll be happy with 7-17 before our Disney trip next month.. I'm just glad to not be obese anymore! I haven't been really using it except for weighing myself. My DH has lost about 10 and has gotten back on it doing the aerobics. I do 2-5 miles on my elliptical and then a Biggest Loser 20 minute workout. We did box last night and I plan on doing the step aerobics and run today so I use it more. I am also really counting my calories and drink only water and diet soda during thw eek. I do have my sweet tooth for Skinny Cow chocolate truffles and pizza on the weekend.
