Hi:
When we were at BWV last January we had to pay $10.00 for wifi - is this service now free for DVC members and what about friends of ours who are going down using our points? If you are not a DVC member is it still free?

I believe the front desk usually charges the daily fee and then you go down and show your DVC card and they remove the charges. If your friends are going down without you, then they will probably have to pay any fees.

I have no idea whether a member can book two rooms under the same ressie and then have both rooms use internet access for free.

I don't think it's the wifi that's free - it's the wired internet in the rooms.

do all the DVC resorts have wifi in the common areas? I know BW does because it has a convention center.

First, just to clear up any confusion, there is no "wifi" in the rooms, it's wired internet access.

It is free now for members, and you shouldn't have to go to the desk to show your member card. When you log on, it will say that there's a $9.95 access fee, but it's waived for members and should not appear on your bill. If it does, then you'd go to the desk to have it removed. We've used it 3 times since the fee has been gone and have had no problems (SSR, HHI & OKW).

Techincally my understanding is this benefit is only for members (and staying on points not cash), but there are a lot of reports of non-members that have stayed on points getting the free internet. I would say that your friends may or may not get free internet and should be prepared to pay for it if they use it.

Currently wired internet access is free for anyone staying on points at a WDW DVC Resort. Wifi is accessible in all common areas of the resorts, lobby, pool area etc. for $9.95/24 hours.
