WiFi in the parks

I noticed a lot of DME slowness, and occasional loss of signal, but for the most part, I was very impressed with wifi in all four Disney parks as well as both Universal parks, BWV, and Cabana Bay.

Just back from a 1 week stay and all I can say is that the app was unusable in the parks. Any time i needed to change/cancel fp's i had to go onto the website and that took longer than normal to load. This is not new to me. We go down usually 2x's a year and this was the worst its been for getting into and using the app in the parks. So just remember you may just want to go thru the website and save any frustration. One tip if you dont plan to change any fps/dining etc. during the day just take a photo of everything its much faster than trying to go into the app or website.

It's wifi, it's spotty depending on where you are. open fields don't work as well as near but not next to a building.. a trick though is if your near rides, face the closest entrance/fastpass and walk a little closer. the fp+ touch point is also some of the wifi at disney so you can get a better signal..

FP Touch-Point's at attractions are wired connectivity, not wireless (WiFi). Only the Greeter handheld devices for DAS use at attractions are WiFi.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was saying an access point your phone connects to is part of the wired setup in the same area of the touch point. The touch point is easier to describe to look when your wifi signal is unusable.

I didn't have any issues last time I was there, using an iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2, both with then current versions of iOS. Even my 3DS didn't have any issues with the wifi.

The only issue I encountered was using MDE on either, but I chalk that up to the fact that MDE is a slow, buggy piece of software
