I see that mcdonalds have free wifi. How does that work. You go into mcdonalds and turn on computer and it will connect automatically? Also do you know if the Mcdonald's by all star hotels have free wifi?

Not sure about proximity to All-Stars, but for the McDonald's up here in MI, I just pull out my iPod and it *usually* connects on its own. Sometimes I have to go in to settings to see what networks I can find and do it manually. You may need to go in to your settings to find the network as well. I know we got our laptop to connect at a McD's on I Drive when we were down there a few years ago.

If you have AT&T and the McD's doesn't happen to have free wi-fi, you can log in with your att.net email and you can get free wi-fi that way (we have a few around here that either don't participate or haven't gotten it unlocked for free usage yet, and I can connect that way).

No idea about the McDonald's by All-Stars, but at a regular McDonald's, you connect to the network and load a browser, then submit that you accept the terms and conditions. Surf away. It's fairly easy :)

I'd suggest going down the road and using the McD's there on sherbeth Rd. You'll save on disney prices for food and more than likely have the wi-fi. Not all McD's are free though, some have a charge. But I do know the lobby of the Beach Club has free wi-fi, none of the other resorts have that at this time.

Can someone please tell me how far this is from the All Star Resorts?

The McDonald's that looks like a big happy meal is right before you turn into the All-Star complex. Depending which hotel you are stay at All-Star Sports would be the closest, at probably 4-6 city blocks.

Last time we stayed there my husband walked to McDonald's a couple of times to get himself "premium coffee" in the morning. He is addicted to their coffee, and was sick of the Nescafe in the food court. If he was willing to walk, it was not that far.

I don't know if they have Wifi. He was just going for coffee.

It doesn't look like a Happy Meal any more, they remodeled. You can miss it since it on the same roat as the AllStar Resorts.
