Wifi at BWV

I have not been on in a while. The last time I got on Disney was rolling out free Wifi to all resorts. Has anyone used the Wifi at BWV? In the past we always brought our own router and paid for wired internet access and then connected our router to go wireless. I am hoping we do not have to do that with this trip. Please let me know if you have used the free Wifi and what the connection was like.

You will find several threads about the wifi.

It was completed in all of the resorts in March, but Disney did note some dead spots. It was also reported by some guests.

Disney went back and did another building permit to go back and enhance the wiring throughout to further enhance the wifi.

While there still can be some dead spots here and there (as in any large resort system), but ultimately many people have reported it is working very well.

I used it late April/early May. It worked fine with my laptop. A friend had a tablet and sometimes had problems. We were in 3001, next to Jellyrolls.

It was working in October (sorry I don't remember the building number), but it was at the end of the wing. The connection was fine, but I didn't try streaming a movie or anything like that.

May 24 - June 4 at BCV and it stunk. Constantly losing connectivity and super slow when it was online.

June 7 - 11 at Kidani - stunk even worse. From what we gathered it was out resort wide (possibly WDW resort wide not sure). Only place to get access was in the library. Extrememly inconvenient.

Not impressed at all - in fact we left a comment as to how unimpressed and invonvenienced we were.

June 4 - 7 at HRH Universal - no problems at all and super fast connection. Free in the lobby and free for HR members. Hotel was booked solid the entire time we were there with multiple conferences

At BCV now. Was having major issues with wifi. So much so that it was useless. I called extension 56 which is WDW Internet assistance. They mentioned that there have been problems with picking up the IP addresses. They noted the IP of my iPad and said they'd try to get it accepted into the server (or something like that). Anyway, the wireless is working great right now, we'll see how it is later when the parks close.

I was at Kidani and Boardwalk during your two weeks, and I had the same experience. I could get wifi in the lobby at Boardwalk and I never tried at the library at Kidani - we just gave up there.
