My wife`s 40th birthday is june 25 and I`d love to spend it at Disney World with her. We`ve been twice in oct/nov and loved the weather and crowdes weren`t too bad. What should we expect in late june, early july for crowdes and weather. Thanks for helping!!

July is a bit crazy, especially to what you're used to. All schools are basically out of session and about half those people are vacationing in WDW. Weather could be in the 90s at that point too.

What I would recommend is going as early in June as you can. That way there are few less people. Maybe depart from WDW the day after your wife's b-day.

Almost all of my trips were in the summer (august usually) and yes its hot and yes there are crowds, but I still loved every minute of it. Either way you will love it. And if your wife is anything like me (or anyone here on the boards) it will be her best birthday ever!

You should expect large crowds and heat, humidity and rain.

We usually go in early November, but our kids wanted to go so we went in mid June. What was I thinking?! Our DD wants to go again, so I told her she's going to have to miss a couple classes, because I WILL NOT go in the summer again. We're going in early December. :D

We went to the parks, when they opened, stayed a few hours, then went back to the room, for a few hours, then ventured out to the parks again. Use Fastpass as much as you can. We had more than usual rain, not just the daily mid-afternoon thunderstorms. The humidity is a killer.

Good luck!

We went in early June last year and I would say that it wasn't my favorite trip but it wasn't as bad as I expected either. Here is where you practice all the rules you have heard of. Go to the parks as early as possible. The mornings are cooler and much less crowded. By 1 we were too hot and grumpy so everyday we went back to our motel to be cooled off most of the afternoon. About 5 we would head out again and stay out late because the parks are open later and after dark is nice. If they still have E-ticket nights at MK pay the fee and go, it is worth it!!!. When you are feeling hot, and it does get very hot during the day. Step into the shops for a few minutes to browse and cool off. It can be done and it would make a great present!!! (oh, don't forget to get a birthday badge if they still have them at MK)
