Wife got an email pin code.... questions

I also got a email pin code yesterday, and You were able to add the dining plan, and also pick a delux resort if you wanted.
 
Can you tell me what was in the subject line? I think I may have deleted one; thought it was junk mail :scared:

Wow.. I was trying to figure out if I could afford to go this fall, now this. I know you can upgrade resort, and add the dining.. but can you also upgrade the tickets? I think I'd want to add a couple of extra days and make them non expiring.
It's only myself and my dd.. and if we go before Dec 7th, she'll still be a disney kid! I didn't think we'd be back again until she was an "adult" in Walt's eyes. So then I can have one more go with the dining plan too....

sigh.. decisions decisions!


PS. Someone in another thread had asked the pin # to be pm'ed to them...for those who don't know, they are specific to the person to whom they are sent.

My husband rec'd an email with pin today ~ Can you upgrade resorts and is it at a reduced rate also???

I got one, I think the key to getting one is to have no plans on going. Thats the only time I have gotten them never when I want them. But I booked a trip anyways so I guess it worked. I'm doing 1Adult 2 kids pop 5 nights base ticket with dining plan for $1170.

I tried to upgrade to a deluxe with my pin for Sept and the CM told me no availability with the pin anywhere...no king bed rooms at any mods either except for CBR.

I guess we are sticking with a room at POR, two doubles on our anniversary. I should have just asked about it at the time I reserved the room...duh. :confused3

sorry disfan that it didn,t work out for you, I guess it depends on the dates, we are going in dec, so maybe that is were the difference is.
 
I got this same e-mail yesterday. We had a trip already booked and our dates fall into the time frame (Oct 17-23). I just e-mailed our TA and she took care of it for us and we save 22% with this pin code. YEAH!

I think you really just have to not go for a while. Me and my wife are on every Disney email list that exists (to our knowledge). We go twice a year and have never once received or had any pin attached to our name.

We just came back from a 10 night stay at the Beach Club on July 3rd, and I got a pin code today also.
Last year I decided to do a last minute trip for my dd's bday in Dec... when I called I found that there was a pin code attached to my name too. And, we had just been there in July for a 14 night stay (split between AKL & WL)..

So it doesn't matter if you have just been there.. or haven't been there in a while. No one has been able to figure out any kind of method Disney has for sending out pin codes.


Before last November when I called for our Dec vacation (told you it was very last minute!)... I'd never received a pin code that I know of in the all the other years we'd been going.

I hope this pin code trend stays with us:) I booked an Oct. trip because of it!

I don't know how they pick who gets a pin attached to their name or a e-mail, but we do go every year.

I just don't agree with this. Like I said before, we go every year and I got one yeaterday also. I think it's random. I know I am registered with Disney online, but I think once they have your name and email address, it doesn't matter how many different ways you've registered. It's all in the Disney system. I would guess random email addresses are computer picked and a pin is sent out this way. This is the first one I've ever received.:)
 
I just rec'd one today for the first time since 2002. It came to my email address but was addressed to my cousin. :confused3 I already have a reservation for Nov & she is listed on it. I did call to see if I could apply it to my room but there wasn't anything available.
 
I got it too..

I called since I can not use it.. Weird I got it since we own the DVC.. THe CM told me that I coudl use it at SSR or OKW tooo...Just an FYI!!!!!!!
 
Hi...no they won't let you add meal plan...i tried. But i do believe other length of stay was an option. Good luck!
