 We are planning to go to disney for 14 days either Jan2006 or jan2007 and we are driving. We want to take my parents motorhome for the drive down but we do not want to camp. The camper sleeps 6 but we would be 4 adults and 2 kids and I can't imagine being that packed in and getting much sleep. :crowded: We have not decided which resort we would like to stay in yet.

I am wondering if we would be able to park something that big at a resort?? Would we have to pay for a campsite anyways?? :confused3 None of us have been to disney and I have no clue how big the parking lots are. I am very serious about this and have no clue where to find this out. Hopefully this is not too weird to do.

They'll let you park it there, but will ask you to park in the far parts of the resort lots.

We drove our motorhome cross country and stay at the Grand Californian at Disneyland. Greatest thing was the look on the faces of the valet parking attendants when we drove up. We unloaded what we wanted for in our room and then valet lead my DH to remote parking lot to park the rv and drove him back. I would think that WDW resorts would do similar thing.

FYI - We just returned from Ft. Wilderness with my parents and kids. (4 adults, 2 kids - one RV) It can be done, though it was a little tight, but honestly, we weren't at the RV that much. Also, my parents decided to use Ft. Wilderness comfort station for showers. Helped the morning rush.

Good luck with your trip planning!

No problem with RV's parking at WDW hotels, shoot I have event seen the cabs of eighteen wheelers in the parking lots. They are usually parked at the far outskirts of the lots though.

We have driven our RV to Disney many times earlier and once they sent me to Fort Wilderness to camp. Had to explain that we use the RV just for traveling, not for staying in Disney and to redirect us to the Poly. RV's are no problem, they make you park away from everything but that was fine by me, keeps the bad drivers away, plus the nuts that like to drive everywhere on disney property away too. We kept the fridge on propane and loaded with pop and beer and just transfered stuff to the room as we ran out!!

In December, there must have been four or five in the lot at the Animal Kingdom when we were there for Christmas. They were all in a row at the end of the aisle we parked on.

My sister and BIL own one of these:

The thing is 40' long! They had no trouble parking it at the BW when we stayed there about a year ago.
