Wicked Weather! Whoa!

The wind is whipping! And it's COLD! Good day to hide in the house.

Anyone else having less than lovely weather today?

Yesterday we had very strong winds and heavy rain, today was brighter for a while but then got cloudy Saturday was also very wet and windy!

We had a 12 hours ice storm on Saturday. Yesterday it rained and today it is REALLY windy and about 19 degrees BRRRRRR!!! Winter is here

It has not stopped snowing since 1am, and it does not look like it is letting up...Snow day, and winds are howling here as well..

Tomorrow looks no better, at least as to what they are forecasting...

I just got off work and the snow is coming down. It is covering the ice we got last weekend. But the bad part (or the good part) is we are flying to Disney World on Saturday. I sure hope the weather gets better, the forecast doesn't look good. Pam

we had a high of 25 and 40mph gusts of wind and a dusting (if you even wanna call it that) of snow.. I love winter, I do give me snow, give me sleet, freezing rain, feet of snow, power outages give me any of that.. but I hate wind..

I'm in Central Indiana and we got 2"-4" inches overnight. Locally we got 4".
My DD's school has a 2-hour delay today so I'm here DIS'ing while she sleeps in.

I was a little surprised about the delay. We moved to Central Indiana from NW Indiana over 10 years ago and it still amazes me how freaked out they get about snow here. Getting 4" of snow when we were in NW Indiana was a non-event. But, I guess since we don't get alot of snow here very often we don't have the equipment like they do up north.

I just wish I'd known about the delay last night so I could have slept in! I got up at my usual time of 5:00am and got ready for work. Darn.

We got 5" of snow on Saturday and 5" yesterday. The snow yesterday started as flurries in the morning but around 2:00 started coming down pretty hard so rush hour was interesting. DH's car is in the shop so he got a ride with a woman that lives near use. Well, her DD got sick so she went home early, leaving DH without a ride home. I had to drive to his office, 15 miles away, no big deal usually but the round trip took me 2 hours and 15 minutes . I almost called and told him to get a hotel room for the night.

Just about an inch of snow this morning but the roads were very slippery and icy this morning. I should have taken the bus but drove in because there wasn't that much snow.

We're supposed to be getting more snow tomorrow night. Whoopee.

You have my sympathies Amy. I grew up in West Michigan so I know all about that feeling
