Why do you love WDW? There's such a following for it (just look at the boards :)) that includes such die-hard fans. So why is it that you love WDW so much?

It's the most magical place on earth. The smile on my children's faces when they get that first hug from Mickey makes my heart melt every time. It's where wishes really do come true, and a wonderful break from the reality of life.

You know it will probably sound silly, but to me, I love Disney because I really feel there is a bit of magic there. I've been to tons of theme parks and for some reason when I see their characters, they are just people in costumes to me, but when I go to Disney...ummmm, well, Mickey is Mickey and Cinderella really lives in the big Castle at the end of Main Street.

I've gone on lots of vacations to lots of different places and we always have a good time of course, but no where do I get the same feeling that I do when I'm at Disney. I mean, no matter how many times I see Wishes, I still puddle a little everytime.

Another thing about Disney is their attention to detail. I don't believe it can be found anywhere else. I read an article about how Disney has character training and everyone has to learn to all sign their character's name the same way so kids won't wonder about different handwriting. I mean, how cool is that? And that is just one example, there are a million others.

Disney is just a total experience....a total magical :wizard: experience!

What she said . :sunny: .......

Simple reasons but here they go:

Being in a place where MOST people are happy all the time.
Eat what you want when you want.
Mickey Soap.
Bus Fumes.
Seeing everyone turn into kids again.
The smell of the rides.
Getting home and having someone ask me my phone number and for 5 minutes say "I don't remember". (True Story)

I often get this question, and the funny look  , from many folks who just don't "get it". Why do we keep going back? Why don't we want to vacation somewhere else? What is it about WDW???

This is how I usually answer:

I guess I just love the magic, the beauty, the detail, the feeling that is WDW. I really do believe in the magic of Disney, I always have! Loved WDW before I had kids, love it that much more now that I have a couple. And to see "the World" through their eyes is precious to me  Wish I could bottle that feeling that I get when we are there, so I could open it up to take a sip when I am having a bad day. :drinking:

So we will continue to go back, again and again, as long as we are able. And if others just don't "get it", not my problem... I'm goin' to DisneyWorld!! :Pinkbounc
