The Timeshare Store, Inc. is a transaction broker. The specifics of a "transaction broker" were mentioned by a prior poster, Seth Nock, and is a very appropriate explanation. Our paperwork discloses this to our customers.
The majority of people are used to the agent representing the seller, hence the confusion. My most recent Florida real estate course, just a few months back, stated that in the coming years, the majority of all Real Estate transactions will be considered to be the "transaction broker" status unless otherwise disclosed.
JimMia hits the old nail on the head about the Resale Company/Disney relationship. It can be a real balancing act. Disney loves the fact that they can refer their sellers to us and know they will be treated in the manner which they expect and yet at the same time hate us for selling to those that might otherwise buy directly from them. Is it possible that this could really be Disney's "best kept secret"?

Irregardless of the relationship, in my opinion Disney still offers the best product of it's kind in the marketplace and I, as well as my staff are proud to be a part of it and bring it to you the consumer. Many people looking at
DVC have no idea that a secondary market even exists. Those that are lucky enough to find the DISboards can have their eyes opened and their mind filled with the knowledge that helps them make an informed decision. Isn't it nice to have a choice????
HAPPY HOLIDAYS to each and everyone of you!
Sincerely,
Tom
