i believe the new president will be challenged. i think biden is warning everyone. plus, the president alone can do nothing. america's citizens, senators and congressmen will need to work together and stand together against the things to come. i don't think it matters who is elected. we're dealing with a very serious time in our history. our economy is in shambles, the country is divided over the war, and there are people who will take any advantage they can get.

i probably sound like some kind of fatalist but i do believe we are living in dangerous times.

I think, though, that this highlights the major difference we can expect to see between Obama/Biden versus McCain/Palin. Obama/Biden will act decisively against aggression, of course, but will seek to effect a resolution to conflict that leaves the United States enhanced in international reputation rather than dishonored. Meanwhile McCain/Palin almost make it sound like they will seek to engage in aggression themselves.

I hope you're right of course, but really you have no evidence at all of this (apart from loin girding). It's really just assumptions and wishful thinking - both before and after the "but". I really hope he brings in some international relations heavy weights because he all by himself doesn't inspire confidence.
