Why would a dog eat a box of Tic Tacs?

Maybe he was in your liquor cabinet earlier and trying to hide the evidence?

No, my Nikki is a boxer/shepherd/cattle dog mix. She just likes to eat things she shouldn't and nothing gets in her way. It just amazes me that she never gets sick.

Max almost never gets really sick either. He does puke a lot, but fortunately for me, he usually cleans up after himself by eating his vomit.

It appears that Tic Tacs don't upset his stomach. Seriously, he ate a whole box this morning and is perfectly fine.

Our Lab one time picked up one my husband's caps off the floor. It had come off his tooth and he had put it on the microwave. It was then knocked to the floor. Problem was she couldn't close her mouth all the way. So we loaded her up in the car and took her to our vet. He looked in her mouth and asked if we had dental work done on her. When we told him no, he reached in and popped the cap off her back molar.

Then there was the dachshund that stole DH's hamburger off the table. She was ticked when he wrestled it away from her and fed it to the other dogs.

When Max steals food, I don't fight him for it. He is a very large dog and a major chowhound.

Over the years, he's stolen and eaten:

-An entire pot roast
-Almost a whole stick of butter
-A corned beef
-Half a loaf of pepperoni bread
-Countless sandwiches and slices of pizza
-Etc.

Out of the above, he got diarrhea from the butter stick, but everything he ate and digested as if it were his regular diet.

Why WOULDN'T I eat a box of Tic-Tacs?

She once ate carpet. Tic-Tacs would be an enormous improvement!

Our Great Dane loves butter. If he sees you making toast you better put it away quickly or he is walking away with it! I've recently had to wrestle a jar of Nutella out of his mouth.

Oh, no!

But truthfully, he is totally fine. I think he ate most of the Tic Tacs early this morning. He just had his dinner and is resting comfortably next to me, "purring" away. He does a canine version of purring with lots of happy little sighs and grunts when he's content.

He's doing that right now, so I know he feels good. He weighs at least 120 pounds so it takes a lot to get to him.
