WHY WHY WHY do they ALWAYS DO THIS?

Sooooo....
After months of planning, asking "where do you want to go" what do you want to do" what do you want to eat?"
And getting the same response every time..
"Whatever you decide is fine."
(you know what's going to happen, I know you do!!!)
Dh comes home from work today and asks if we are booked for Mickey's BBQ. I reminded him that we had discussed it - I wanted to, he didn't, thought the kids wouldn't like it, it was too girly, the boys won't dance, etc.

"Well, Brian from work went, and he said it was really good."
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
<sigh>
guess who is calling 407wdwdine in the morning.

I hope it's Brian's coworker making that early morning call. ;)

Ha ha!!! Happens ALL THE TIME in my house! "What do you MEAN we're not booked at Chef Mickey's?!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!??!" "No 'Ohana? That's blasphemy!!!"

Always a week before the trip when there's no WAY we could get into most of those "favorites."

Yep, same thing here. We discuss and dh and kids all say "let's try some new places." So the 90-day out comes and I make all our ADR's and tell the family over dinner so we can review the menus and then the questions begin: "what about Sci-Fi?" "What about Les Chefs?" "What's a Tutto?" "No character breakfasts?" Every trip we end up eating the same old, same old. Jeeesh!

Being the planner can be a real nightmare sometimes.

LOL:lmao: I know how you feel!
I have gone over with DH our ressies twice and my adr date is in June but I know the day we leave for WDW he will be asking me, "So where are we eating?", it happens every year:confused3

Mine is the same way. :rotfl2:

I love my group I travel with. They all let me pick the places! No complaints from any of them.

Maybe just a small one-we didn't get O'hana breakfast with Stitch last time, my niece was a little upset (but it helped getting her to come to WDW again). I'm making sure we get it this time.

Oh my, I'm dealing with the same situation on my end too! "Book whatever you want honey"

I just better make sure the plans are vegetarian and Boma and what have you LOL ;-)

It's all good though!

It's a guy thing...

I have no opinion, so I defer to your opinion but I reserve the right to complain about your opinion after the fact.

They teach them that in grammar school while they're teaching the girls about "that time of the month".

:rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl:

That sounds about right! In my house, I make all the reservations. DH never complains about the food, just the bill at the end of the trip! We need to teach our boys to be planners.

Yep, that's for sure! I've heard this a million times between my parents growing up :rotfl:

If you posted this at 9pm why didnt you just jump on the phone at that time?

I feel your pain. We leave in less than 2 weeks and DBF is refusing to eat at Biergarten and Boma because of germs and quote, "the food is weird". I feel like I'm dealing with a 2 yr old, not a 22 yr old. Really, information I could have used 90 days ago! :rotfl:

To do this, I have to give up Ohana's for breakfast (never been there) and the Plaza dinner (never been there either). But we've never been to the BBQ either.
I think I'm just going to let it ride....

Its because you have to make the ADRS so far in advance!
I have 2 boys and they dont care till its time to head to the airport.

One year my in-laws wanted me to call and change all the dinner times to a later time because they dont eat dinner at 5pm. No one wanted to talk about it when it was time to make ADRS. They thought I was silly making ressies so far in advance. We like to eat dinner earlier so we have time to enjoy the park when the sun sets.

This doesn't happen at our house.:banana::banana:

We sit down and discuss the meal plans about a week before the window opens. And we stick with that. No changing...no cross-fingers... You get what what planned for.

We try to mix the old favorites with new (or not visited in a long time) places. And we, with very few exceptions, end up very happy.

I think you're lucky! I WISH my family complained about where we are eating! They have zero input and I just drag them along to all of the ADR's. It's kind of sad b/c I can tell they REALLY don't care! Except I got mad last time when they didn't say anything about anything, said they didn't care, haven't been enough times to know other dining options, so they went with it. Then after every meal they would complain about how the restaurant "wasn't that good" or ask why I didn't "book something else?" Now THAT is 10x worse!
