WHY WHY WHY do they ALWAYS DO THIS?

My DH is the same way. He wants to question decisions once I have made the decisions. Last year I had to tell him, come to the table when decisions are being made. If you tell me "You'll do whatever or eat whatever" then whatever it is! That why we are going to WDW instead of Myrtle Beach :cool1: When we were dating, he took the incentive to plan. Amazing how things change! Well he better like Princesses (CRT, Arkehus, 1900 Park Fare) because he is going to get a big dose of them on our next trip:rotfl2: It all about DD!!!!!

This is probably why we do one vacation a year separately (his golf weekend and my spa weekend) and then the family vacation. It keeps our home sane:rotfl:

It's a guy thing...

I have no opinion, so I defer to your opinion but I reserve the right to complain about your opinion after the fact.

They teach them that in grammar school while they're teaching the girls about "that time of the month".

Hey ! IT'S NOT A "GUY" :smokin:THING ! (ROTF:rotfl2:LOL:lmao:)
OK... maybe it is... most of the time. :cool2: However, in my case, it isn't !
That's my wife :cutie:... to the max ! :lovestruc
I love her to death, :love:but... she's like this with EVERYTHING... and particularly WDW.princess:
Where do you want to stay ? It doesn't matter - I can stay in a tent.
What do you want to do ? Just relax.... :flower3:
Where do you want to eat ? popcorn:: You pick... I don't care....:sad2:
So... I set up the trip, and what do I get:
Why are we staying at The Beach Club... I don't even know where that is... I wanted to stay at The Contemporary ! :headache:
Why aren't we doing "that Christmas-Party thing" this time - I really liked the snow and the parade !
Why aren't we eating at "that restaurant at the top of the hotel with the monorail" - you know I love sushi. :scared:
Answers:
We are staying at "The Beach Club" this year, because last stay (at The Contemporary) she said liked the pool, but she also said that she really liked the "beach" area of The GF... and she loved EPCOT and MHS.... :thumbsup2
We actually are doing "MVMCP" again, but it's on an "off day" so she has more time to "relax at 'the beach'" before we go. :beach:
We are eating at "The California Grill" (she just didn't recognize the name !) as well as both "Kona Cafe'" and "Tokyo Dining", because they all offer sushi. :scratchin

"urge to kill"... growing...Growing... GROWING...! :furious: Ahhhhhh.....pixiedust:

Oh honey how about having a man that "isnt feeling it" the day we are supposed to dine at a place that HE picked in the first place? And it gets better, I tell him there is a snowballs chance in he** of getting into a place that he does feel like eating at and poof, by some miracle of miracles we can get in and he gets this all "i told you so" look on his face.

I swear, next time I am going to eat alone and he can eat CS stuff :rotfl2:

We've gotten to the point where we only really ask each other when along the course of our trip do we want to eat at the places which we always eat. I suppose thats at least a step in the right direction.

My DBF only requested Boma and Raglan Road again this year. He has lukewarm opinions on everything, and if I press him, he'll tell me what he thinks.

I think he's doing it so I can plan where I want to go, but honestly, I'd rather get some input from him as well!

My family always wants to go to the same places every year. I'm fine staying at the same resort but would love to try new restaurants. This year we are repeating CRT, Chef Mickey's, Kona Cafe, Park 1900 and Ohana. We are trying new Alkershus (Lunch) and The Wave (Dinner).

Honestly I think my husband is happy I do all the planning AND it occupies my for several weeks and keeps my out of his hair. :)

:rotfl: Loved the story! Keep it going and let us know when you actually EXPLODE! :dance3:

Reading this thread is like realizing all my worst fears. My two sons (15 and 13) don't want to have anything to do with the planning. But I just know that when the time comes to go to one of the restaurants that I chose because I thought it sounded like something they'd like, I'll get the, "Mom! Why did you pick this restaurant? Ewwww..."

You know.. solo is looking better and better.

CLASSIC :rotfl2:

The real problem is that families are forced to decide what they want to eat 90 days before their trip. If all the TS restaurants were walk-up only (maybe with call-ahead seating) much like you standard chain restaurants (Chili's, Texas Roadhouse, etc) then that would work a whole lot better.

I remember how carefully I planned the restaurants for DH's first trip and he nixed everything as soon as we arrived. I realize now that the ADRs I make are pretty much backup plans. We usually decide where we want to eat a few hours before a meal and make a new ADR. I think the only ones we've kept in the past two visits are Boma and Crystal Palace.

My brother does this all the time! I asked at our 90 mark and he'd didnt want anything special and told me he just wants to relax and not "do all this now it's months away." He just wants to "go with the flow and with whatever he feels like that day." Well now- 11 days out he decides he wants to go to a bunch of populars. Yeah, right like I can get a CRT, Ohana's, etc for Memorial Day weekend! Grrrrr...somedays I wish I was going alone.

Yeah, I can totally empathize. It is a generally speaking Boy THing.

AND It is a generally speaking Boy THing.

OK...!:thumbsup2 I get it...!:confused3 It's a "guy-thing" !:rolleyes1 We're jerks !:rotfl2:

But almost every comment that's been made here, applies to my wife !:cutie:
I'm telling you the truth !:worship:
When I first told her that we were staying at "The Beach Club", just outside EPCOT, at the "International Gateway", she said, "I though you said we were going back to Disney for our anniversary...?":hyper2:
Now, on the surface one could suspect that possibly, she is not "one of us", and was, therefore, unfamiliar with what I was talking about.:earboy2:
However, I must also tell you that when we were last there, I actually walked her out the "International Gateway" and partway down the path to show her "The Beach Club", to which she responded, "...that looks like it would be a really nice place to stay...!":tink:
Arrrrrgh !:crazy2:

Restaurant choice example:
Me: "We're eating at Chef's de France on Tuesday night. :wizard:
Debbie: "I don't think I like French food very much." :sad2:
Me: OK... then, where would you like to eat...?"
Debbie: I don't remember the name of the place, but it's the one with the really good French Onion Soup."

I couldn't make this stuff up - no one would believe it ! :lmao:
