DVC and living in FL.
We went to AKL last week for two nights for our 28th anniversary, get away.
Due to a work schedule change on Thursday I wound up with an unexpected three day weekend this weekend. DW and woke-up today at 5am, laying in bed talking about our anniversary, which is this actually this weekend, and decided we wanted to go to MK today, instead of yard work (which we had planned on). We got our to-go-bag and cooler in the car, stopped by the bank on the way through Orlando, and headed for MK. Called MS at 9 and booked a room at BLT for tonight. Checked into the room at @11 and the room was ready.
Getting ready to head upstairs at BLT to see the fireworks.

It'll be rare I can do the same since I live in Reno but a couple years ago was at a conference in Tampa and was scheduled to head to WDW afterwards. Conference finished up mid-afternoon and I decided I'd rather spend the night at Disney instead of Tampa. Called MS, booked a studio at BWV and was checking in all within a couple hours of deciding to go early.
