I know we aren't supposed to ask about closed threads and I understand if I get points. I just cant figure out anything at all that is wrong with any post! I don't want to end up doing something wrong and not knowing about it. The whole thread is just 2 pages of recipes. :confused3

Sometimes when threads are locked, offensive posts are deleted.

I can't speak for that particular thread, since I read it after it was locked, but it's a possibility. We may not be seeing everything that was posted.

It talked about the Duggars I wonder if people were posting the link to there website

Ok, that makes sense. And the Duggar thing, too. I wanted to try one of the recipes, too.

I had never thought about mixing the cream soup and hamburger together and will try it that way next time because it can seem dry sometimes.

I won't link it, but I used the Duggar recipe. I have only made it twice as my kids said they don't like it- SERIOUSLY? What isn't to like? But, whatever.

Is there something offensive on the Duggar site that they wouldn't want a link posted? :confused3

I once started a thread about recipes and it was locked. I was told to post in the recipe board. I still have a hard time finding it, but I will look and get the link, maybe it was moved there?:confused3

Here's the area it is in, The Creative Community....

There is a special board just for cooking.

I too thought the reason was because it should've been posted on the Community Board (or Creative Community).

However, I don't understand why it wasn't just moved there. :confused3

Wow, I'm the OP and didn't even realize it was locked:confused3 I could see why it would be moved, but like another poster said why would it be locked:confused3

It must have been my offensive BREAKFAST tater tot recipe....it wasn't a dinner one...sorry....ROFL!!!!! :lmao:

I can't wait to try the cheeseburger one - DH will wrinkle his nose up at it but I think the kids (ok and me) will love it!

I was planning to try that one!:rotfl2:
Seriously, I was going to get the meatless sausage today and try it with that. What else did it take?

I didn't think we were supposed to post link to other sites
No, you can post links to other sites. As long as there is nothing offensive on the other site. And even if that happens, the thread isn't locked down, the link is just removed.

8 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup tater tots (frozen)
1 cup shredded cheddar
1 cup cubed ham, suasage or bacon, or meat of choice, if desired
seasonings to taste

Bake in a greased 8x8 dish at 250 for 50 min or until center is done. You can also add veggies - I've already added tomatoes & onions to it....or salsa....

And no links to sites where you sell stuff. That I know for sure. I have no clue why a recipe thread would get locked. I happen to love tater tot casserole!

Don't know why they locked it, but here's my variation on a theme

HAMBURGER POTATO CASSEROLE
1-2 pounds Hamburger meat (depends on how much meat you want I use 1 pound sometime 1 ½)

1 bag frozen southern style hash browns (cubed/diced)

1 small can each or in any combination:
Cream of celery
Cream of mushroom
Broccoli/Cheese soup
(I get the 98% fat free varieties)

1-2 cans green beans (or any vegetable you like I’ve also used frozen broccoli)

Shredded cheese (I use light cheddar or cheddar/jack mix)

Put your hash browns on a sheet pan lightly salt them and put them in a low oven 350 or so to start the cooking process. You don’t want them done, just unfrozen and firm, if not they get soggy in the casserole. After you take them out leave your oven on and increase heat to 400.
Brown you hamburger meat with whatever seasonings you like (I use salt/pepper, worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion powder).
In a bowl mix the three cans of soup plus one half can of water. Add the vegetables and half the potatoes. Stir together.
In a 9X13 cooking pan, put the ground beef on a layer on the bottom. Pour the soup mixture over the top. On top of this add the other half of your potatoes. Put in the oven and cook until the mixture is bubbly and the potatoes on top are done, maybe 20-40 minutes depending on oven. Don’t overcook the top because you’re going to broil it in a minute.
Remove your pan turn off the oven and sprinkle the top of the casserole with shredded cheese. Put the pan back in the oven and turn on your broiler, leave there until the cheese is melted and light brown.
