Why Tour Busses?

Since we arrived at Disney we’ve been using and seeing many tour busses being used in place of the regular Disney buses used for transportation between parks and resorts. Just wondering if anyone knows why?

From what I've read here on the boards, it's has to do with capacity issues created by the seating restrictions necessary at this time. They need extra capacity/larger buses to transport everyone and keep parties in sections.

Ahhh ok. They seem pretty empty. No packing people in standing room only lol!

They were using the private charter charter to pick up people at Grand Floridian and taking them to the parks today and yesterday. We saw a lot of the dropping people off at Animal Kingdom today.

The bus situation would be impossible if they had not brought in more buses. No standing on buses and social distancing because of Covid.

I just find it odd that it’s your buses. But they’re nice!

When we were there I did not see any that took a scooter, At Disney Springs a scooter was waiting for a regular Disney bus
