Why "top floor" will be my priority request from now on........

At OKW right now and the people above us are so "heavy" on their feet!! The toilet keeps flushing all the time and as we all know are very loud!!!

I didn't get my room request of top floor this time but I will try to make it a priority next time.

Otherwise,OKW is wonderful and we are enjoying our stay. Housekeeping did knock on door at 9 AM as we are closing the lock-off portion of our room today (DD and friend going home).

If there are any questions, I will be checking in later.

Hope that will solve your problem.

But we were at HHI in early July ON THE TOP FLOOR and the people BELOW us were outrageously loud! I finally went down to speak to them one night because it sounded like they were bouncing off the ceiling!

Guess what??? They were. It was a group of kids left unattended (I'm guessing fairly often) and they said yes, they had been junping on/off furniture and hitting walls, etc...!!!!!

It didn't improve. But then, the adults seemed real loud also. Why do people think we all want to hear all of THEIR conversations!!!

Oh, well...different strokes...but we try to be considerate neighbors.

Have a great time anyway....just think of all of your jealous 'neighbors' here at home!

I prefer the top floor, but for the sake of my 71yo MIL who accompanies us to OKW, I now always ask for a first floor room. We were fortunate that, during our stay, we had quiet upstairs neighbors.

We heard the washing machine going on the floor above us last time we were at OKW. Hazards of "condo" living! Always other people around!

I also will always make top floor a priority now too. At OKW though I didn't think it would matter but with everyone constantly going back & forth from the patio/deck I'm always afraid something will wander/slither in. Parnoid I know.



My requests used to be anywhere but OKW upper floors, @ OKW Buildings near HH.

I feel the exact same way about OKW!!!! But our first stay there every night we had a frog above our door and those lizzardy things out front of our 2nd floor room I was skeeved every night. We love it there but DH I dont think can put up with my paranoia

My DH thought I was off my rocker but I did see a critter by the end of my trip. Just wish I got it on film. But just the same live & learn....

Slept with the lights on the rest of the week!

Nice to know I'm not on paranoid island! But your right I Love OKW but now I know to make my #1 request NOT 1ST FLOOR!

One of our pet peeves is running children above our heads at 7 a.m. Calls to the front desk asking for help are of no help, quiet time at OKW according to them is from 7 a.m. until either 9 or 10 p.m. I know at times it is hard to contain young children, however, at times, such as afternoon nap time, and late night, it is also hard to contain my teens love of loud music. I would hate for a noise war to ensue. The other problem we have found is running up and down the stairs. We love the convenience of 1st floor, no critter phobic, we live in Florida, but could use quiet time above our heads until later in the morning.
