Why the Overwhelming Dislike for Liberty Tree Tavern?

A while back I took a poll asking people which ADRs they would cancel and Liberty Tree Tavern LUNCH got the most votes. Why does everyone dislike it so much? It seems to get pretty good reviews.

That's odd and a bit disappointing! We really enjoyed LTT last May! It was dinner, but I thought it was quite a nice meal.

Last time we had lunch there, we enjoyed it. However, we do not like dinner there.

The food was ok, nothing special to me, but I wouldn't eat there again now that it isn't a character meal. It was very loud, and the staff was a bit unorganized, certainly compared with our experiences at most other Disney restaurants. When they took us in, they didn't have the high chair at our table yet. No biggie, but we were all standing and moving chairs to accommodate the high chair when CM brought it and a different CM came up to us practically yelling about how you have to have reservations to eat here and you can't just walk in off the street, etc. . . I guess she was having a bad day, but a simple "may I help you?" would have probably been the way to go in that situation.

We love LTT for lunch...We used to go for dinner but do not any more because they took the characters away...

DH loves the burger and I love the salad they serve at lunch...We also both really love the Toffee dessert there....To us, it is time to relax in the mid-day...Service is always good and food although not fancy is done well...The menu is small but we can find lunch items without a problem.

MK is limited in TS meals...We do not really care for lunch/dinner buffets so CP is out...The castle is out because of the expense and we have boys...

So we are not in the dislike voters at all

We love LTT for lunch! We have a lunch ADR for our upcoming trip in September. DH and I both love the burgers (very good quality beef) and the apple dessert was better then California Grill's in our opinion!

We never ate there for dinner, but for lunch we've always had good service and good food. Plus we like the atmosphere of LTT and DH loves how the soft drinks are served in big glass mugs.

have been going since 2004 and this year will be our first time eating @ LTT (lunch) I am so excited for the ooeygooey toffee cake. I have heard only good things about this restaraunt @ lunch. Always try it and form your own opinion.

There really isn't anything significant about your cursory poll that one could conclude there is something wrong with a restaurant. Nothing to fret over. Now if you had a poll of which restaurant served you bugs in your food and they won...then you should worry.

I was hoping that it's just the least liked in comparisons to the others. But what surprised me is that more people voted no for that than for Sci-Fi and Chef Mickey's. The food there looks delicious; like others we're excited about the ooey gooey toffee cake, and will probably get the roast beef or burger for the entree. I think the fried cheese looks good as well, but we probably won't order an appetizer. Thanks for your reassurances!

We have been to LTT many times for lunch and loved it! Everything from the food, to the theme, to the service was spot on. I have gotten the burger there twice and loved it!! Have a wonderful trip!

We've eaten there once for lunch, and it was okay. I probably wouldn't go back there again. To tell you the truth, I don't think there's a single table service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom that is worth the trouble. Of them, all, though, Liberty Tree Tavern probably has the most appealing menu.

We ate at LTT for lunch last trip. It was my first time there. I'm not a big fan of comfort type food so I've avoided it in the past but it came up on my shrinking list of places I've never been to yet so we went.

I felt like I should order something that fit the restaurant so I got the turkey, which was good. My son got the burger (I got some of it )and it was outstanding! I think it would be up there with the best burgers in WDW but I doubt it's ordered much.

No idea. LTT for lunch is one of our favorite lunch places. We'd much rather go to LTT for lunch than to the Plaza for lunch.

We always have lunch at LTT on our last day. We love the tri-corner sandwich, and I get the angel food cake b/c the other desserts are just a tad too rich for my tastes. It's a great way to end our trip!
