Why the DVC price increase on 4/4?

Sorry for the newbe questions...

I assume the price increase on 4/4 is due to the Saratoga resort opening up... Is that correct?

I assume that is the date the Saratoga interests go on sale....

Also, if somebody can post info as to where I can find Saratoga info, I'd appreciate it.

Sales of SSR actually began back in August. I guess sales have been brisk enough that DVC is ready to raise the price. They do generally have a price increase when a new resort opens. SSR will open in May with various phases of the resort continuing to be built over the next few years.

One key difference with SSR is that it will begin a new 50 year contract. The other DVC resorts were based on the original 50 years that expires in January 2042. SSR will last until 2054.

To me, it is basic business. They can charge $95 and still have solid sales.

The April deadline for SSR is for new members. Current members will not have to pay $95 until May 9th.
