Why so much hatred for SuperShuttle?

Before using any shuttle, Consider taking a cab - especially if you have more than a couple of people.
They run in the mid $40 range for as many people and luggage as they can fit. No extra charges!
And there is no faster way to the resort area.

I've only used SS a couple of times, and only where I live. The driving part was fine, but the last time we had a driver who spent the drive in to the airport telling us about how he really worked for the CIA and was 'undercover' looking for 'terrorists'. He was full of tales about his past 'missions'. His driving was excellent, though. :P

We are looking into Super Shuttle for our August trip. It seems that most complaints are becuase of the shared ride service. We will be a group of 7 (4 adults/3 kids) and were thinking of reserving the non-stop van service. Has anyone had experience with the non-stop service? Are there any other recomendations for a group of 7?

I've done the non-stop (point to point) shuttle van service, which I talked about on the first page, in this post - ttp://www.disboards.com/threads/why-so-much-hatred-for-supershuttle.3417331/#post-53806408

I stick with Sav-on Shuttle for the point to point service now.

You can get a taxi van for 7 passengers and the cost is the same as a regular taxi (mid $40 range). That's what we do with a larger group. Oh, wait--are you talking about LAX to DLR? That's a different thing so never mind my comment if you're coming from LAX rather than SNA.

We will be coming from SNA. Maybe I will just use a taxi. I was trying to do a shuttle to avoid having to bring 3 carseats, but I may just have to suck it up and bring them. I just don't like any shuttle options. Thanks for info!
