This is our 8th trip in 4 years, yet I can't seem to decide on things!!!!! Maybe it's because it's the first time we are spending a week during Jan/Feb and the weather will be colder. We usually spend a few hours each day at the pool and that most likely won't be happening.

I keep switching ADRs and FP!

Has anyone else run into this problem? I am very excited to go, but just feel all over the place. Maybe I should throw my hands up and go with the flow??? But really, who are we kidding? I like to plan every detail!

If WDW is running events we plan for them (MNSSHP for example or F&W festival). We do FP' for rides we always do and then after that go with the flow!:woohoo:

In 2005 we did our first Jan WDW trip, arriving on New Year's Day and leaving on the 10th. Before that we went in early March mostly, pretty good weather that week, but on our Jan 2005 trip we had our best weather up to that time, highs in the mid 80s half the time, mid 70s the rest so don't give up on the pool.

We have always gone in early Jan, and temps are typically in the 70s and even 80s some days. For us that's perfect pool weather - I know some people won't go near the water unless it's like 90, so depends on you. You may catch an occasional chilly day so just go with the flow!

Maybe it's all the recent changes at WDW stressing you out, making it hard to plan. Just use your plan as a template and your awesome Dis knowledge as a resource to help you modify as needed in real time. I have a hard time getting the right mix of planning and flow sometimes... get TOO obsessive about creating the "perfect" plan. Have much more fun when mom relaxes :)

We go mid January and sometimes into the first week in February and always end up swimming a few days. Yes, some days will be a bit too cold to swim but for the most part we still have decent weather during midday. Swimming time for us is after 2 pm. Don't forget the pools are heated :)

Thanks everyone! That's true about events. We always go for the F&W and we've gone twice during the Flower/Garden show. Maybe having no major event to plan around is throwing me off.

Also, we've never stayed on the monorail loop, which we're doing for the first time (woo hoo) and I feel like I need to really take advantage of that!

We did go for 4 days in Feb last year, but had really cold, rainy weather. Not even those crazy big kids in the pool ;)

I mean, come on... we'll be in DISNEY. That's all that really mattters :)
