There seems to be far more 100 pt resale contracts available for AKV than for any other resort. I know they weren't typically available at the older resorts, but why at least 3x more than SSR? Anyone know or have an idea why?

Thanks!

Currently, Disney is selling 100 point contracts at BLT, SSR and AKV. About four years back, Disney did not sell any contracts below 160. It was in 2008 when Disney went to selling 100 point contracts for the first time and the only resort it applied to at the time was AKV. That situation lasted quite a while with the result that AKV has more 100 point contracts out there than others.

Ditto this! We bought DVC when they finally offered a buy in at 100 pts instead of the normal 160. So our first contract is for 100 points, I think AKV was the first resort they did that with!

I think it also may have some to do with the popularity of splitting contracts.

More people these days will buy three 100 points contracts instead of one 300 point contract by having them split up when they purchase direct.
