Why so few complainrs about the record high gasoline costs?

I grumble a little, but not much I can do about it. Plus it isn't anywhere near the prices a few years ago! We had over $2/gallon for the cheapest... right now it is $1.65. I'd rather it below $1.50 but compared to some places we have it really good with the pices.
