Why should I transfer to TA?

I can't believe it! I have made my ressie for our Oct. 2006 Costa Maya (2 scoops!) cruise! I made it directly through DCL. I hear people talking about transferring to a TA afterward. Why should I do this? How could she save me more $? What would be the benefit now that the booking is done or what would be any reasons NOT to transfer.

I feel I got a good rate. I think I would feel strange telling a TZ, "Hey, I got this rate. Can you beat that?"

I did exactly that. I had done my own research on the net for flight prices and cruise prices, then went to a TA and ask them if they could do better. They did. They saved us about $400.
