Why only GV rooms at the Poly with FDP?

I have a lagoon view reservation that I wanted to change to FDP but cm said only GV rooms can use free dining, bummer! I wonder why only GV rooms and I wonder if they will open up more rooms on thursday.

Disney will discount rooms that are harder to fill before they will discount more attractive rooms.

So.. MK view rooms traditionally are more desireable (hence you wanting one) than GV rooms. Basic marketing and business 101. Discount the slow moving inventory.

So in theory they could still offer the plan for my Mk room sometime down the road if they need to. I think I will tey to call again and check today and then try again thursday and see what happens. We are going no matter what so I have nothing to loose and everything to gain. Thanks for your input.

Of course ANYTHING is possible.. But MK view are always in high demand.. so...

I hope you don't hold out too long and end up missing free dining if that's important to you.

I have my Mk room already so I will only miss out on Free dining by not switching to GV to get the free dining. We will be spending alot of time at the room with a one year old and Grandparents so the view is important to me. Thanks again for the advice, hoping for some Do you think that I should try to call again today or don't bother?

Don't know your dates, but it's also possible many of the Lagoon/MK view rooms are already filled by folks who got the 40% off room offer, bounceback free ddp and UK free ddp. I was told this am no water view rooms left at POFQ for our September trip, probably for the same reasons.

The rumor mill (which has been pretty darn accurate so far) is saying more rooms will likely open up Thu, but there's no way to know whether the rooms you want will become available. There could also be more rooms available down the road as people make changes but again, no guarantee. I'd say pick what's most important to you, the view or the free ddp, book that, then keep trying to make your changes.

We are booked for MK view so I just wanted to apply the code for FDP and that is when the CM told me that only GV rooms were available for FDP. Oh well I will just keep trying.
