did they stop the Tapestry of Dreams parade????????????? Gonna take a poll of those who wish they would bring it back.

Yes, this is one of my favorites, wish they would bring it back. . . .

We LOVED it as TON and TOD! Saw it several times on each trip. In 2000 we saw it from the Illuminations Cruise boat at the International Bridge with several other DISers. We saw it twice (starting and ending) at the same time - from the bench in Germany - a tip we learned right here on the DIS. I have rolls of film of this parade. We also have the music on CD and I listen to it often while I'm reading WDW posts. YES, bring it back - it was the best parade ever!

I'm probably in the minority here but I didn't like it at all. I remember EPCOT Center when there were no parades and I think ToD and ToN ruined the nighttime ambiance of WS. I like Epcot just fine without a parade.

This was my favorite parade at WDW!!! :goodvibes (Well, I didn't like the switch to tapesty of dreams, not that it became BAD at that point, just didn't need changing.)

Sorry, wasn't into it at all, although I did love the music.

omg...i HATED that parade..lol...My DH and I would always joke about that parade...i swear they would put it on like 40 times a day..LOL

I loved the parade but don't miss it. It is sooooo much easier to navigate the WS.

I also preferred TON to TOD.

This was my DD8 and DS9's favorite parade ever...

We want it back! please.

I really liked it, but I can see why they don't have it anymore. Every time we tried to see it, it was either delayed or canceled due to weather, those giant puppets didn't do well in wind.

I really wasn't thrilled with this parade either. However, the performers were really into the presentation.

Although the music had a sort of hypnotic beat to it, it always struck me that it should have been titled the Tapestry of Third World Nations. It was not really representative of all nations. It was good while it was there but had no reason to go on and on. I felt that the focus was way to narrow.

As I recall all activity had too stop during the parade because the walkways at WS are relatively narrow and had to be kept clear for the parade. Just not worth the hastle IMHO!

I have some pics of it from our 1999 trip. If I knew that it was going to be going away forever - I would have taken more pics and bought more souveniers!

Tapestry of Nations was my absolute favorite of all - I miss it sooooo much :sad1:

I think I'm wearing out my CD "Millennium Celebration" - Track 3: "Tapestry of Nations" - 23.53 minutes of sheer ecstacy!

PUH-LEASE bring it back !!!!

We were never impressed by it. We used to call it the "Lame-o" parade since the music sounded like "Lame-o! lame-o lame-o! lame-o lame-o, lame-o laaaaammme-o!" I thought it took up too much of the World Showcase, if you were 'caught' by it you had to wait until it was over. I also thought the "floats" were derivative, for instance how many drum guys do you really need? I did like the giant people puppets and the butterfly women, especially at night.

Yes! We emailed Disney a few years ago when they first took it away, and actually got an email and a call back, but of course to no avail.

I couldn't stand the music!! Now if we were talking about the 'Remember the Magic' parade in MK, I wish they would bring that back! I love that music!
