This happens almost every year :sad2:, we will eat a restaurant, I will order something that is out of this world, think about all year until my return to Disney the next year, and BAM!!!! The restaurant changes the menu and removes the item I was looking forward to. How often does this happen to you? Seems like it happens to me every year :lmao::lmao: :sad1::sad2:

You guys eat a restaurant???? WHOA!!!!! LOL jk

Yea, next time, after eating something tell the waiter it sucked, I bet they will keep it on the menu!

PS it's your fault they changed menu's????

Don't quit you day job. :rotfl: (jk)

To the OP, I feel your pain. I've been on a 10 year quest to find an artichoke-mushroom-potato pancake dish that was at the Crystal Palace in 2000-2001 and have never tasted it's like again. :sad1: While it's still ok for a buffet, I really couldn't give a rip about seeing that "silly old bear" and his pals again and have missed out of trying other things. I've called off the search on my next trip and will try some other TS. :thumbsup2

We always hit the restaurant in China on our last night. They used to have this hot beef dish on the menu. It warned it was hot in the description and the waiter would reitterate this fact when you ordered it. It was very hot, but had a very good flavor. Last year when we were there it was not on the menu, so I asked the waiter baout it. He knew what i was talking about, went and talked to the Kitchen and they were able to make it for me.

Of the restaurant changes from menue to Buffet, it will probably be less likely. But if it something that was simply removed from the menu, just ask and they may be able to make it.

I just typed "Everything is subject to change" in another post, and I guess it applies here, too.

It can be that the dish is seasonal. You probably won't find butternut squash soup in the spring or asparagus soup in autumn, just to give a couple examples. And chefs bounce around to different restaurants, changing menus to suit their styles, at times.

I do remember years ago when they removed the potato-wrapped red snapper at Flying Fish Cafe. Strange, right? It's considered one of their signature dishes, and soon after, it did return to the menu on what I'd say was a permanent basis. Maybe enough people wrote Disney about this. I'll never know. ;)

Never thought of that, Thanks :thumbsup2:goodvibes

I asked this question once to a CM and she said the restuarants (mostly the signatures) try to change their menus with the seasons.

It not only happens to me at WDW at restaurants around where I live. Even at chains like Chilis or something maybe I have weird tastes but I feel your pain and Micleynicki I love reading your reviews great pics and info and hilarious reads. R u committed to Todd not making ressies?

Haha, I know can't wait for all you can eat Desserts.

But it is a bummer when something on the menu disappears. Well hopefully you can find something worth it this year!
