Do they not offer the good park ticket deals (like 5 for 3) after the end of September? We would like to go during the non-holiday times in October or November and rather resent having to pay full price--especially since hours are shorter and more attractions are usually down. Any thoughts on why?

Oops sorry, I mis read. I thought you had posted end of Sept.
If I do find any good offers, I will let you know. Sorry again, for the error.

I would venture to guess that they don't need to. They must make enough that there is not a need to offer deals and incentives for people to visit during that time of year. In October they have the Haunted Mansion overly which brings in visitors, plus all the Trick or Treat parties bringing the guests in. Disney offers deals when they need them. If times are slow and they need people in the parks, they offer deals.

THat's what i was thinking - it's all about profit & if they don't need it...or on the other side of the spectrum ...they DO need it. Deals may be less.

Just like how my favorite shoe store never has sales when there's a shoe I'm in love w/. THey have it when it's all off-season & my size is gone!! Rambling again? Yes I am.

I don't know if this will help, however, the last day that one can purcahse the 5 for 3 promotion, is August 11th. HOWEVER.......... this promotion does not expire until 13 days after the first use or Oct.13th 2009, whichever occurs first.

From disneys site:
• "5-for-3" offer provides each guest with a 5-Day Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket at the regular price of a 3-Day Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket. These tickets entitle Guests to admittance to both Disneyland® Resort theme parks over 5 days, including visits to both theme parks on the same day.

• Tickets may only be purchased between March 24, 2009 and August 11, 2009 and are valid for theme park admission from April 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009.

• The "5-for-3" offer expires 13 days after first use or on October 13, 2009, whichever occurs first.

• Each day of use of a Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket constitutes one full day of use.

• Park Hopper® Bonus tickets include one Magic Morning admission for early entry into a designated theme park. A Magic Morning early entry admission allows access to a designated Disneyland® Resort theme park before the park opens to the general public. While not available daily, the feature will be available multiple times per week.

Well, see, Disney never intended to do the 5-for-3 promotion in the first place, until they started posting declining revenue in the parks. Earlier, they only had the kids price promo, and we were all clamoring for a peak season one; lo and behold, a new one came out.

They may or may not start a new promo. It's likely that by admission sales alone on the 3-5 and 4-6 deals, they would be operating some kind of marginal loss, but it's clear that the majority of profit will be consumer spending within the resort (food, souvenirs, etc.). That's why they only do 3-5 and 4-6 and not 2-4 or 1-3. The longer you stay, the more stuff you buy.

There always is a motive behind their promo's. I agree.
