I just got through reading the "Live from along the Trumbo Canal " thread from Deb & Bill and :yay: :yay: I so want to be there at OKW sitting on the verandah watching the boats glide by:banana:  . I makes me want to: 1. buy more points,:rolleyes1 2. use them right now, or at least call ms and see what’s available tomorrow!

Anybody else feel this way? :headache: Or am I the only one hopelessly addicted to this place? :lovestruc I don’t do drugs not even too many adult beverages, but I can hardly wait for November to get on the plane and start the 13 day stay at my “home away from home”!!:cool1: :cool1:

I can hardly wait til September and this is just a short 7 night stay for us. We usually go 2 weeks but I had to use alot of my vacation time to have a baby . I'm already thinking of next year we are going to do a cruise also. We added another 100 points last month what we had just wasn't enough. So you aren't the only one.

Absolutely. I just returned last week from a lovely trip to Europe but the first thing I did on my return was check the boards to see what was happening at WDW. All my thoughts now are on the next trip to OKW in 203 days (Love my Disney Vacation clock which greets me every morning!)

These boards are bad news! We were just at WDW in February and were not supposed to go until fall '09, but wouldn't ya know, we are booked for 7 nights at OKW in 2 1BR villas in September!!! I am already planning my May 09 trip to BCV and I swear these boards are the problem! :rotfl:

Ah, that's the million dollar question.

We leave in 30 days, but I'm already planning a girls only trip to the world for 2010!! Yes, I have a problem. (But a good one!)::yes::

It's after 10 on a Saturday night. I'm tired from fun activities with DH on a school outing, and what am I doing? Sitting here, enjoying OKW vicariously with Deb and Bill and planning and helping people plan WDW vacations. No, you are not the only one, not at all!

We'll be booking our May '09 vacation in two weeks, and then we'll be thinking about something in the fall of '09. Actually I've already given it lots of thoughts, I'm hearing Kidani calling us home.

Bobbi:)

It's sad when you've just finished one DVC trip and are already counting the days until the next one!! Thankfully, the DIS tides me over between trips! :)

Just an aside, it has been nearly a year since we were last at WDW (except for Bill who did the marathon in Jan and stayed at OKW). It feels like we never left.

Absolutely! If I am not at WDW, then I have to be on DIS reading trip reports/dining reviews/etc or planning our next trip. I am a Disney-holic.

BTW -- Deb and Bill, glad to hear you're having a nice trip -- you deserve it!

Massive obsession here:rolleyes1

I've got to have at least two trips in the planning at all times, just to keep me sane. I always want to be there, and I MUST have an upcoming in the near future to look forward to or I'll lose my mind (what's left of it anyway:bitelip: )

My family loves it so much, but they think I'm way over the top:scared1:
My friends think I'm nuts:rolleyes:
And I'm getting to the "I think I'll go solo if no one else wants to join me" stage, where I never thought I'd be::yes::

So take heart....you are not alone:thumbsup2

Here, here!!! I also am a DISNEY FREAK!! Going home for the first time in Septmeber and can't wait. :cool1: I could never understand how people could go to Disney once in there life and never go again after that!:confused3 I am also addicted to everything Disney. It is nice to know there are other Disney Freaks like me in the world!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Me too!
We are having another little one in December, so we can't go to WDW until spring of '09. I'm going through major withdrawal. The last few nights I have been recalculating using our points through 2011. I think part of the allure of DVC for Disney planning addicts is thinking of all of the ways to utilize points. So many options, so little vacation time.
Dh loves WDW, but doesn't get the planning part. That's ok, I do enough of that for the two of us.

Until May '09, I'll just have to live vicariously through everyone else.

Thanks for all of the TRs. I love em.

I just read Deb's report too - I'm a brute for punishment since we just got back from our 13 days on Friday night, and here I sit on the DIS making me miss my OKW villa even more!!! I'm already wanting to plan our next trip and count the days.

Well, we went to Disney over Spring Break and stayed at our home resort (SSR). Over the last couple of weeks, I made reservations for dining for our Aug trip to VWL, and purchased 150 points at VB. Today, I looked at DH's school schedule (he's a teacher) for 2008-09 and 2009-10 to see what fun things can plan next!!! So, I called MS today to find out more about a cruise for next summer!

If/when BLT is announced, it will take everything I have not to buy points there. I think we'd love BLT, but honestly, I haven't met a DVC resort yet that I haven't liked. I'll have to watch, though. The MFs will eventually catch up with me!

Yes...I think you can safely say I'm addicted. ;) I also LOVE talking to all of you that share my addiction! :cloud9:

We just got back from a fantastic week at the HHI resort, as we were leaving hte resort for the drive home, my kids were like how many days until we go to DisneyWorld??
We started counting down to our October BWV trip the second our HH trip was over. LOL

My friend introduced me to DVC and somehow I too am now addicted. We bought 200 points in January and are now thinking that we need to do an add-on. I already have the ground work laid for our next three trips. Silly, even my DH is surprised at how into this I am . On the boards everyday! But hey, there are alot worse addictions to suffer from!!:rotfl2:

Thats exactly what we're doing next May. 3-nite cruise followed by 3- nites at WDW (will ressie BWV, buy try to switch to BCV at 7 mos.). Feel free to ask me any questions on this...:goodvibes

because it is WDW/Disney!

hey I am considering refinancing my condo - to get money to buy BLT....

We've definitely got addonitis! We've got trips coming up every month this year. And we just got the cruise DVD and watched it this weekend to see what cruise we want to do...wish we didn't have to work for a living. We would just do DVC all the time.

Yes, it's a good addiction to have!

A vacation without Disney just does not feel like a vacation to me anymore. And we've taken some pretty wonderful non-Disney vacations!

We were at WDW in December for a short trip and I was bummed when we had to leave to return to cold, dreary, wintry PA. We are leaving again for WDW in 13 days and I am so stoked I can barely see straight! :lmao: I cannot think of another place that makes me happier. I remember on my first visit to WDW in 1981 crying all the way back to the airport. I don't cry anymore, but I sure get very sad. :(

There are few places in life that let us return to our childhoods and indulge in just letting go. Moments like that are few and therefore all the more precious. Sharing Disney with my family and friends is always such a joyous occasion, even when we are dealing with crowds, heat and the occasional grouch. I feel blessed to have been able to experience Disney as many times as I have. It just feels like home to me. No place else comes close in that respect.
