refuse to take naps?

i don't really want to wrestle her into her crib...

I'll tell you that, if you tell me how to get my 2 year old in the house at night, without screaming and yelling that he dosen't want to come in. :)

I thought threes were worse thn the twos. My son has always hated sleeping and even today at 13 doesn't require much sleep.

I know...I regret that I missed all those naps when I was younger. All I want when I get home at night is about a 30 minute nap...but it's not to be. :teeth:

My oldest was perfect at nap time. Now my youngest, well, let's just say he was anything but. Case in point - he hasn't had a "scheduled" nap since he was 2 1/2. It wasn't worth the aggravation.

Both my little guys fought naps. Except in the car of course. My 2 year old could only fall asleep if he was nursing, so now what do I do?? I put them in the car and go for a drive. Luckily there's a drive thru Dunkin Donuts nearby. By the time I order my coffee they're both asleep and when we get home I just bring them inside.

Other days like today, I'm sick and don't feel like driving around, I can't get them to go down.

My dd was a perfect angel when it came to naps up until about a month ago...she turned 3 in Dec. and is now asserting her independence and showing she has a very strong will...I keep asking my dh where she gets this, he just rolls his eyes and says " I wonder".....

DD had the terrible two's, three's and now she's working on the four's. I finally gave up on naps this past week. It just isn't worth it. But I put her to sleep earlier otherwise she ends up cranky!

My youngest DD gave up naps before she turned a year old. She would occasionally fall asleep watching a movie or if I put her in the carriage and took her for a walk but she wouldn't stay in the crib for anything. She was able to climb out of the crib by the time she was 12mos. so to leave her in there unsupervised for nap time was too dangerous. She always went to bed at 6:30pm for the night though. The days seemed really long but I enjoyed the early bedtime. She's 4 1/2 now and will tell me it's time for be whenever she is tired.

I don't understand... Don't kids know that the naps are not for them, they are for you

DH used to drive DS#1 around in the car to get him to take a nap at age 2. He gave them up right when I was largely pregnant with ds#2. Hang tough.....it won't get worse, just different. :)

"Don't kids know that the naps are not for them, they are for you." Missed naps is why there is hard liquor.
