We had a fantastic Disney trip last October/November at the BC, it was our first time at the BC, we usually stay POFQ. We'll we were hooked as everyone said we would be but the cost is just too high to go back to the BC every time.

So, I was just looking as I usually do and day dream about going back this year, I know we can't as we have a group booking to Majorca in July for all the men turning 40 this year, it's costing a fortune just to go to Spain all inclusive, yes we will have a great time with all our good friends and the kids will have a blast, but it's not Disney!!

So back to the looking, I've kept an eye on virgin Atlantic for a while since they had their sale on, well, some other friends announced they were going back to disney in August, from Glasgow again as it's a lot cheaper, gutted I was!!, so I had a play round, daydreaming again, and found Glasgow, May 17th - 31st with VA for £2190 for the 4 of us, Manchester was over £1000 more!
Plus, DD10 has the 22 & 23 off due to elections and teacher training, so she would only need 3 days off school. Oh my it's just too good not go!

Well you can imagine the conversation, can we go to disney instead of the Majorca trip!?, I know it would be really bad to cancel on a group holiday, but it's disney!
For the same price by the time you add the hotel on, ok so maybe a bit more with spending money but still, flights at that price, wow.

Anyway, we are not going and I am traumatised that I found such a good deal and cannot go, I only hope that I find prices like that next year.
I'm trying to console myself by reminding me that if we went, we could not stay at the BC and I really wanted to go back there and at the same time as last year as we had a blast at the F&W and Halloween. Plus we would loose £800 deposit. Unless Thomson would transfer that to a flight only? No I must stop looking!

So I keep dreaming and wishing it was next year already!

Moan over!!!!

Just stayed at bc and absolutely loved it having stayed at 4 other on site hotels. Pretty pricey though so not sure if our next trip will be a let down if we can't stay there!

That's how we feel now, we loved the POFQ for the size of the resort and the quietness but now there's 4 of us, we really need the space in the room and you just can't beat the BC location. Lots of overtime to be put in I think!!
I'm sure no matter where we stay, as long as it's disney, we would have a fab time, but everytime I see the bus go past for the BC, I would be wishing I was there!

I've staged at the Allstars, Caribbean, coranado, animal kingdom and finally beach club. It has actually been worrying me now that next time we go we won't be able to justify the beach club but I loved it (never thought I d say that after how much I loved animal kingdom). The pool and location I think will be impossible to beat.

If we can't do beach club would you recommend anywhere else.? Going to independently book next time so world is our oyster. Love the look of wilderness but location isn't close enough to dining with a small child. Maybe somewhere next to downtown.

We booked everything ourselves last year, I got a really good price or flights with VA, just kept looking and looking and booked the flights in the January 2013, the hotel had been booked with WdW since June 2012, we didn't go till October 2013 but I like to book in advance to get the free dining and we got a gift card. We then booked a car with Alamo for a week mid stay, just picked it up from the Dolphin next door, so easy.

If we can't stay BC next time then I think we will try POFQ again as we do like it there, you can get the boat to DTD which is great for plenty of dining choices, we didn't visit DTD so much when we stayed at the BC as the bus journey was a nightmare!! Plus it's central to most parks.
We would have to get the kids to share a bed if it were the POFQ as I'm not sure if a rollaway would be too much with the rooms being smaller.

If we didn't do a 'disney' resort and didn't get free dining then I would look at swan/dolphin for the location. If price and space were an issue then I would start to look out of Disney (oh my!) and maybe Bonnet creek or we have stayed at the Buenavista Palace on hotel blvd which has nice rooms, not a lot for kids to do but you can walk to DTD. But for that price I could possibly stay POFQ or PoP, I'm loosing room space but gaining the themed pool and staying on site with free regular bus service.

We really need to decide what's important,
-eating beans on toast for the next year so we can go to the BC!
-room space, will the kids share a bed or do we want maybe a 1/2 bed apt. Car hire for the full 2 weeks plus having to add the cost of parking at the parks!(back to PoP/POFQ prices!)
-go with POFQ but really wish when we were there, that it was the BC!

Think I've answered my own question, beans in toast it is!!!

I did like the look of WL when we had lunch one day and tbh I would stay but for the price I can do BC and like you say it's too far out for the other parks and dining locations.

Sometimes WdW does offers for the SSR and OKW at the same price as the mods, they are both close to DTD with boat ride. But studios are small and for the price of a 1bed again I could do BC. Offers for 2015 should be out end of April, can't wait!

Too much choice! Good luck!
