Why Not Just Queue Up Another Disney Trip? Link to New TR 6/24 p136!

Love the plans and love that you're so accommodating for your family, doing what they wanna do and eating wherever they choose. It's also great that you're giving yourself some time in WDW after they leave, that way you can do all the things you might've had to skip the first 5 days.

Now if only June would hurry up and arrive!

Aww, Nick and his gf look awesome! I'm in love with her dress and her hair, so pretty.
ACK! I can't believe it's only 16 days now!! :cool1: So glad the drama dialed down and you are clear for takeoff.
You and your SIL are going to be so genderly outnumbered. :rotfl:
As for Jake who has a good appetite, I have no clue when it comes to kids but is there someone else who's a light eater who could share? Or perhaps figuring out which restaurants offer more food for your meal swipe... hmmm... Starring Rolls sandwiches always stuff me to the brim, and the usual Disney chicken finger platters do too. Definitely more than say, a Disney pizza. Although who am I kidding? I eat like a bird. I'm probably no use at all here. :rotfl:
I can't believe you've never seen MSEP! Awww now I'm bouncing just thinking of the music...
Breakfast at Crystal Palace should be a blast! Can't wait to hear all about this trip from the other side of it. :thumbsup2

Nick and his GF are so cute!

Your plans sound wonderful :) I hope everything goes flawlessly with no drama. So your first trip to WDW was in 2001? I figured you'd been going your whole life :)

A 10:30 flight is so early, can I ask why you chose that time?

Your trip is coming up so fast! :cool1:

The prom pictures are great! Nick and A are very cute together! :goodvibes

Your plans for June sound great! I definitely can't wait to hear all about this trip!

Awww, cute prom pics! :thumbsup2

The plans for this trip sound great, I'm glad everything finally came together with the family! The kids will have so much fun, and staying in a Treehouse Villa is going to be awesome! :yay:

MEK, it really was a stirring time to be in Williamsburg. On that Friday there was a moment of silence for the whole town. We were proud of our country & to be in Williamsburg at that time!

That sounds like an amazing experience despite being such a sad one! I bet you were really proud to be an American, particularly on that day!

Yes Unless they changed something recently, when you check in you will get seat assignments and I even think you can change them too. :thumbsup2

Perfect! That sounds like what I expected. I don't know how full the flight is so if we can't all sit together its no biggie. I'll probably just read and play games on my phone. I don't need company for that!

Ah. The dreaded kids meal choices. We had that issue in 2009 when the E's were 8 & 9. Both are big eaters but more importantly for them, not typical k's food eaters. I tried to stick to places that didn't offer kids options as part of their menus and it worked really well. It does seem like they e gotten stricter about it, especially at the resorts but at a few places that had kids meals they still let them get a regular cs instead as the cards didn't break the cs credits into adult and. Hold like it did with ts. Not sure if it does now or not.

Do you know of any CS that don't offer kid's meals? I thought they all did.

I heard they have gotten stricter about that and it has been worried. He eats more than his 10 year old brother but the CM at DVC was pretty firm about not allowing him to upgrade to an adult plan. So silly. I mean, really? So I told SIL she is going to have to do all the ordering and then split up the adult meals between the 3 oldest boys. Seems like a pain, if you ask me.

Good cs for us then was tangerine cafe, starring rolls, cosmic rays, the old Mexico cs location and yak and yeti local.

I think we will try Cosmic Rays. I really can't eat outside though in the heat of summer so I doubt we will do Yak and Yeti and Starring Rolls even though I like both of them.

I loved the prom pics on FB, good looking couple!

Thanks! She is a very sweet girl, too. Her shoes were soooooo cool. Don't have a pic of them.

Plans look good!

They're OK for the type of trip it is and the time of year.

Wow! That sounds like such a nice long trip, and your plans look awesome! I hope your brother's family ends up really having a wonderful time!

I'm excited to finally have a nice, long trip. My last 7 night trip was in 2009 so this will be a treat! :thumbsup2

I hope my bro's family really enjoys it. I know the kids are getting excited!

Your plans sound wonderful! I hope you all have an incredible time! :goodvibes

Thanks Dawn. I hope it is not SUPER hot and no one melts down! (including me). :rolleyes1

Love the plans and love that you're so accommodating for your family, doing what they wanna do and eating wherever they choose. It's also great that you're giving yourself some time in WDW after they leave, that way you can do all the things you might've had to skip the first 5 days.

Exactly. ;) I knew I was going to need a little vacation AFTER the vacation. My best trips to the world really are when its me and Denny. It's just very natural and there's no (or very little) drama. We just go with the flow and its fun.

I really want my nephews to have a great time and I'm glad I can share my DVC with them!

Now if only June would hurry up and arrive!

It's almost here. Just a little over 2 weeks! :cheer2:

Aww, Nick and his gf look awesome! I'm in love with her dress and her hair, so pretty.

Isn't she adorable. Even her shoes were gorgeous. The funny thing was when she first bought the dress the center of it was completely sheer except for those little strap things. She sent Nick a picture of it and all I could think of was Jennifer Lopez. I told Nick, "does she know she is going to get kicked out of school for that dress?" Clearly she has had it tailored since!

ACK! I can't believe it's only 16 days now!! :cool1: So glad the drama dialed down and you are clear for takeoff.

Yes - I think we are finally clear for takeoff!

You and your SIL are going to be so genderly outnumbered. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: genderly outnumbered! :rotfl2: Ain't that the truth!

As for Jake who has a good appetite, I have no clue when it comes to kids but is there someone else who's a light eater who could share? Definitely more than say, a Disney pizza. Although who am I kidding? I eat like a bird. I'm probably no use at all here. :rotfl:

That's what I want to do. Try to figure out who has the better kid options if he can't order off the adult menu. I already figured out who has the best adult options.

I can't believe you've never seen MSEP! Awww now I'm bouncing just thinking of the music...

I know. I keep missing it for one reason or another, but I am sure to see it this time. I have seen so many pictures of it. I can't wait.

Breakfast at Crystal Palace should be a blast! Can't wait to hear all about this trip from the other side of it. :thumbsup2

CP is one of my fav meals. I hope its worth the extra $ for my brother's family. Even with TIW its bound to be a little pricey for the 6 of them. Oh well, I'm going whether they opt out or not. I need an Eeoyre fix!

Nick and his GF are so cute!

I think so too! ;) But more importantly, they are both so nice!

Your plans sound wonderful :) I hope everything goes flawlessly with no drama. So your first trip to WDW was in 2001? I figured you'd been going your whole life :)

It was actually in summer of 2002 if you don't count the one day I visited the MK as a junior in high school (and I spent most of that day in the infirmary with my first hang over - not one of my finer moments). I was actually one of these people (like my bro) who thought Disney would be torture because I really don't like crowds. I fell in love from it after the first sight of the castle and the rest is history!

A 10:30 flight is so early, can I ask why you chose that time?

I think it was originally 11:30 or 11:45 and then they moved it earlier. Plus there are only two flights to ABE daily. The other one was in the evening and I think it was either a lot more expensive or a lot later at night. We still have a 2 hour drive from ABE so the original flight time got us home around 4pm or so. I thought with such a long trip we probably shouldn't be rolling in late at night like we usually do.

Your trip is coming up so fast! :cool1:

I know! I'm pretty psyched about that. Most of my clothes are already packed.

The prom pictures are great! Nick and A are very cute together! :goodvibes

Thanks! I think so too, but I am a bit impartial! :rotfl:

Your plans for June sound great! I definitely can't wait to hear all about this trip!

This should be an interesting trip, to say the least. I really hope it goes well. The only thing I am worried about now is the possibility of extreme heat!

Awww, cute prom pics! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I have to upload the real ones soon!

The plans for this trip sound great, I'm glad everything finally came together with the family! The kids will have so much fun, and staying in a Treehouse Villa is going to be awesome! :yay:

I am so glad my bro's whole family is going and, I agree, the treehouse is going to be awesome. I can't wait to stay there and I'm glad I'm getting a chance before the points go up! :thumbsup2

With Airtran, you can print your boarding passes 24 hours before your flight. At that time you will have assigned seats, but you can change the seats to another at no charge unless you pick an emergancy row or other extra charged seat.

I always change our seats because they sometimes seperate us or put us in a 3 seat row. I change over to the two seat rows.

Our flight times for our Sept. trip have been changed from arrival at 12:30 to 9:30am & our departure from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. At least we will have more time at WDW! This is the only nonstop to MCO on Airtran.

Wow, 17 days already! Whew, time really flies. I can't wait to hear about the Treehouse Villas. We're staying there next July hopefully. :goodvibes

here is my suggestion. not that I necessarily advocate working the system but....

What I didn't mention is this was also sort of an issue on the 2010 trip as Eric was 9. We had DDP for all of us for 3 nights and the DDP for 5 of us, including Eric, for 5. Which meant one kid meal at CS. We went out of our way to actually work around this constraint.

I do not know if the system has been upgraded or not, I know it was talked about. Back then, all CS credits showed as CS, just a lump total. It didn't break out adult versus child, like it does on the TS. I'd research this and find out how they look now. If they don't, you can just have the adults order, have the kids at a table and how would anyone know?

We used Eric's credits on the 2010 trip at ABC Commissary, Cosmic Rays, Roaring Forks, Boardwalk Bakery, Tangerine Cafe, Hurricane Hannahs, CHH and Typhoon Tillies. I don't think he got a true kids meal more than once, we just didn't have him in line with us. Disney literally has the worst kids meal selections, same 3-4 items everywhere, it's very very difficult to be sure. It kills me that they can do a misfire like Habitat Heros and then not have better actual meal options in the park! I have heard that the menu at the AoA food court is supposed to be great, not sure if that would help with kids selections or not though but might be worth checking int.

Roaring Forks was the ONLY place that asked if any were for kids as I was ordering more than one meal.

I do think most of the places have kids meals. I know at one place we used snack credits to put together a better breakfast than the CS options.

It may be a challenge. If you have the Disney Mobile Magic on your iphone, it does a great job of showing the kids menus for any of the locations, a little easier than looking up allears! LOL

You might want to check out this dining review, if you haven't already. 11 days of quick service plan! No "disney" kids though so it doesn't help with that part much

Coming out of lurkdom to tell you that I sent you a PM. I love reading all of your TR's, when I see a new one from you, whatever I'm doing stops until I get caught up. I'm a sahm, so I'm sure my DH loves when I spend the day reading the Dis and he comes home to frozen pizza and a messy house. :rolleyes1.

I hope you have a great trip, I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks Doris. Now I know what to expect. Do you also pay for bags at the time you check in? I'm assuming so.

I always change our seats because they sometimes seperate us or put us in a 3 seat row. I change over to the two seat rows.

Well, I hope they put the three of us in a three seat row. But I'll just be happy to get there and I'm really happy to NOT be driving!

Our flight times for our Sept. trip have been changed from arrival at 12:30 to 9:30am & our departure from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. At least we will have more time at WDW! This is the only nonstop to MCO on Airtran.

That's a big change on the outbound flight. I heard Air Tran changes all the time. I don't get that, but whatever!

Wow, 17 days already! Whew, time really flies. I can't wait to hear about the Treehouse Villas. We're staying there next July hopefully. :goodvibes

Yup - 15 days! My ticker is off by 2 days. Oh well - not changing it now. I am so excited to be staying at a treehouse. I know we are at maximum capacity, but I think its going to be great. I really should do a little bit more research on the treehouses so I know better what to expect.

here is my suggestion. not that I necessarily advocate working the system but....

I really hope all the CS show as the same credits. I know they will have a few extra credits to begin with because of the 2 TS meals we have scheduled. I think just keeping track of 9 people on the same room card is going to be difficult enough.

I am just going to go with that premise that he can order off the adult menu. I still have one nephew who will eat off the kids menu and if, for some reason, they do separate the credits, I am going to have to beg ignorance at the end of the trip. :rotfl:

I didn't realize exactly how bad they were until LJ ordered off the kids menu 3 years ago. It was ridiculous. Fortunately he wasn't a big eater, but the selections were terrible. The only exception was the steak he got at Le Cellier! I definitely want to try Cosmic Rays because I know Nick would love the ribs. I have to convince Denny that he can eat somewhere other than Pecos bill (his absolute favorite CS in all of WDW :rotfl:)

Roaring Forks was the ONLY place that asked if any were for kids as I was ordering more than one meal.

I think I probably should download an app that has the menus. Good idea! Also good to know about Roaring Forks!

You might want to check out this dining review, if you haven't already. 11 days of quick service plan! No "disney" kids though so it doesn't help with that part much

I think I may be subbed to this thread already. I have been checking out QS reviews, even though there aren't too many of them.

:rolleyes1.

:welcome: Krista! :wave2: I got your pm - thanks so much for the information and welcome to my TR! My DH is also ribbing me for spending all my time on the computer - like last night when I totally forgot to make dinner for Nick to have after he returned from soccer practice. I totally forgot! :faint: I knew he wouldn't want to eat what Denny and I had, but how could I forget he had to eat, too. Oy!

I hope you have a great trip, I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks! I am really looking forward to this trip. I want my nephews to have a great time!!

The Magic Guide is a really good app with maps and all the menus, and if you have Verizon there's the one directly from Disney.

We love Pecos Bills, an absolute must on every trip now.

The Magic Guide is a really good app with maps and all the menus, and if you have Verizon there's the one directly from Disney.

I'll check that out because I do have Verizon. Thanks for the suggestions! :thumbsup2

We love Pecos Bills, an absolute must on every trip now.

Well then you and Denny would get along just fine because I think that is his favorite CS place in all of WDW!

OK, another update I thought I had commented on, but apparently did not. Sheesh. I've been doing that a lot lately! I didn't realize your trip was so long. I am just a little, teeny bit jealous. :rolleyes1 And the treehouse is going to be so cool...and you'll take amazing pictures to share. When I was at SSR in April I really would have enjoyed going exploring over to that area, but we just didn't have a lot of time.

I've really been impressed by the CS options at Disneyworld. I finally did Flametree this past April and it was great. I've never really had a CS meal that I thought was bad. And Sunshine Seasons really is downright fantastic. I had seared tuna for lunch there in February and it was awesome.

Plus, your trip is really close! :cool1:

ME, you can add luggage when you check in or pay for it when selecting your seats when getting your boarding passes.

I got my flight through Disney & pay for my luggage at that point.

Your plans for June sound great!! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see pictures of the treehouse! I think you'll really like BWV too. I'm glad all the drama worked out in the end.

As far as the dining plan... I was going to say I didn't have any experience with it but then I read what Cynthia wrote and remember we had used the DDP in 2009. Again, check if things have changed, but back then, all of the CS credits were definitely lumped together so we could use them how we wanted. The kids did mostly get kids meals, but there were a couple times that they didn't and it was fine.

Can't wait to hear about your other trip plans. :thumbsup2

Hey ME! So, I kept putting off coming back to this thread because the pages and pages that I was behind was just way too daunting to think about, finally I just decided not to play catch up and just read from here, I'll go back and read your updates as time allows, but at least I'm not getting further behind!

I didn't even realize that you had a trip coming up so soon! How exciting! Your plans sound great! I really wish you hadn't posted that picture of the clown slide though, geez that thing creeps me out

Love the pics of your Girl's trip!

Can't wait to read about your trip with your brother and his family, the itinerary looks great! I think they will have a good time.

Nice prom pics (poor kids getting eaten by bugs).

I think your plans sound great. You are almost there...it's getting so close.

Wave to us on your way to Lorton (you'll pass nearby).
And I can't wait to hear about the Treehouse Villas.
Did you guys rent points?
I would LOVE to get the whole family together like you guys and stay there.
So I can't wait to hear the report!
