Why Not Just Queue Up Another Disney Trip? Link to New TR 6/24 p136!

Love, love, love your Firsts & Favorites posts!:thumbsup2 It's nice to look back on a trip once it's over, and see all your favorites parts and pictures grouped together. Reminds you of all the good moments you had. :wizard:

Thank you! It's really fun to see how many first, big or small, you find in each trip! I guess its one of the reasons we keep going back, right? There's always a new adventure waiting.

Hopefully I can get through the next 3 days of "firsts" without posting so many pictures. I always get so carried away!

I always enjoy your firsts and favorites list! Gives me a great reason to laugh again over Nick's picture with Bo and the gingerbread shingle incident. :lmao:

You know - I looked at the gingerbread shingle still worried that Nick actually DID break it off! :rotfl: I have so much confidence in my son, don't I? :lmao:

YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO EAT THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE?!?!?
Maybe that explains why the security guard CM was following me everywhere I went at the GF? Who knew? :confused3

All caught up and it is sooooo good to see the memories.
That's what it is all about. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Great start to the wrap up! I love your Firsts and Faves" Don't worry about getting carried away, I love all the pics! :)

Really - Who Knew? :rotfl2: It really does look good enough to eat! I definitely can see some hands going in there for a taste!

It really is about the memories and I am shocked at how much I have forgotten over the past several months! That's why I need a good recap!

Awww - thanks! Glad you like that wrap up so far. I'm on a roll, so I hope to finish it early this week. It is fun and go back and quickly summarize the trip after taking months to write about it!

Great update Mary Ellen....loved all your firsts and favorites! I am thinking about swapping out Coral Reef for La Hacienda....thoughts (my computer is being crazy and my question mark isn#t working, apparently neither is my apostrophy)

Well they DO make it out of real ingredients and post a sign about it... popcorn::

Love the recap of the trip Mary Ellen, nice to see all the pictures again. :)

I like firsts and Davis idea.
And I LOVE those fireworks pics from the Cali Grill.
You timed them perfectly!!

It was not pleasant and the worst part was that my son thought he HAD cleaned up. :rotfl: Yeah right!
that made me laugh out loud literally - I startled Joe who had fallen asleep on the couch. funny!!!

So today I am off on another Girl's Trip! :cool1: I am heading back to Williamsburg (yes - again) with P & L (from the HHI trip) and one other friend.

And guess what? - I finally bought a ticket to see the Historic District!

Hope Everyone has an Awesome Weekend!!!!!!!
YAY for mini vacations with girl friends!

Oh - I am subbed to a June car rental code and just booked a standard car for 10 days @ $217 with taxes. I'm pretty happy about that! :woohoo:
Your deal, and your next deal through alamo are amazing!

Love all of your firsts Mary Ellen - that tee shirt is great, worth looking for next time!

Is the view from the Cali Grill really that clear or do you have a zoom lense? Your pictures are so clear and perfect! even the water parade --mine always come out so distant and blurry from movement.

Pumpkin martini? interesting.

Have you tried the new whipped vodka from Smirnoff ? or mmm there's another brand too. So yummy with diet Stewart's root beer, or orange soda. bet that would be good in a pumpkin martini! :goodvibes

Really enjoying the recap of the trip! It's great to see so many wonderful pictures all over again. :goodvibes

A great list so far of firsts and favourites! I can't wait for the rest :)

Thanks! I am going to start working on part 2 pretty soon! Promise!

Thanks!

Ugh - I hate when my computer acts up! :headache:

Thoughts on La Haceinda - Well, I already know you have the margarita thing down so how can you NOT like a restaurant that serves the same quality ritas as the Ditch and has great food! Plus its so pretty in there. I would be going back in June if I hadn't already been there twice this year!

Great update! I love seeing all the pictures again and hearing about your trip highlights.

Howdy stranger! Have you updated recently?

Glad you enjoyed part I of my trip firsts & favs! :goodvibes

Love the recap of the trip Mary Ellen, nice to see all the pictures again. :)

Thanks! It is always fun to go back through my pics a second time and notice things I didn't notice the first time through!

Really enjoying your "firsts and favorites"! :thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes When a TR starts getting lengthy it is fun to do that.

I like firsts and Davis idea.
And I LOVE those fireworks pics from the Cali Grill.
You timed them perfectly!!

Thanks!

I am so glad we timed our dining correctly with the fireworks. I thought we might be done a little early, in which case I was going to watch them from the Poly beach. But this turned out much better!

that made me laugh out loud literally - I startled Joe who had fallen asleep on the couch. funny!!!

Oops! Hope you didn't startle him! Yup - my son thought he cleaned up, so I can only imagine what the house looked like BEFORE he cleaned. :scared1:

YAY for mini vacations with girl friends!

We had a blast. It was so fun. My one GF (who didn't go to HHI with us) thanked me a bunch of times. It was really sweet! She thanked me for going to all the trouble to plan everything. I said, "really, its nothing. you should see when I plan for Disney". :rotfl:

Your deal, and your next deal through alamo are amazing!

I am pretty excited by the Alamo deal. Like I said - almost too good to be true, but I'm going for it anyway! :thumbsup2

Love all of your firsts Mary Ellen - that tee shirt is great, worth looking for next time!

Here's an idea - custome T-shirts with your favorite Epcot drinks. Can you imagine how many people would have GCS T's?

Is the view from the Cali Grill really that clear or do you have a zoom lense? Your pictures are so clear and perfect! even the water parade --mine always come out so distant and blurry from movement.

I used both lens, so I'm not sure which I used when. My I use my shutter speed settings which gives me the clearer pictures.

The view is really wonderful. I recommend that everyone try the Cali Grill at least once, for the food and for the view! ;)

Pumpkin martini? interesting.

It was good but, like the avocado martini, a little rich for my tastes. I don't really like when my drink fills me up.

Have you tried the new whipped vodka from Smirnoff ? or mmm there's another brand too. So yummy with diet Stewart's root beer, or orange soda. bet that would be good in a pumpkin martini! :goodvibes

I love the whipped vodka. It's good. I love to mix it in with a fruit smoothy! I found it in Costco's. Recently I tried a peach flavored Ciroc vodka. That's good too!

I know, right? :rolleyes1

I loved the "Firsts and Favorites" posts. I need to get over to my trip report and wrap it up but it's been so busy that I haven't had a chance.

Thanks! I love recapping when I've been working on a TR for awhile. Part 2 coming up soon!

So how are the summer plans coming?

We're pretty much set...reservations made, AKL booked, ADR's set...just have to pay for it now. The best part is that the kids still have no idea where we're going! :thumbsup2

Still planning out our day in Charleston, SC. And we're trying to figure out what to do on the road back from Florida.

I know what you mean. I really got slowed down this past month, but I am on the home stretch of wrapping up this puppy. Glad you liked my firsts and favs!

I think its so great that you are going to surprise the kids. That's so awesome. Can I come over and watch the big reveal? What a fun time that's going to be.

Well, there IS always South of the Border. :rotfl:

Know you, you will come up with a great stop. There really isn't much between Charleston and home, so good luck with that. There are some cool plantations just east of Richmond along the James River. Denny and I toured the Berkley plantation and it was pretty cool.

Firsts & Favorites Part 2

Saturday December 17th

We started out the day grabbing FP's for one of our favs

IMG_0730.jpg

then headed over to Dinosaur for a couple back to back rides.

We grabbed a second set of FPs then rode EE.

Our "first" live animal of the day

IMG_0754.jpg

This was a real "first" for me

IMG_0765.jpg

I'm pretty sure I was on this path before, but I never complete the entire trek. I don't remember seeing the bats or the tigers.

"First" bat feeding

IMG_0783.jpg

IMG_0787.jpg

My "first" tiger pic

IMG_0801.jpg

My "first" time seeing these flags, which I have seen on so many other TRs

IMG_0833.jpg

Our "first" time eating here

IMG_0856.jpg

and trying these

IMG_0869.jpg

Most definitely a favorite!

Nick's "first" Kobe Beef Burger

IMG_0880.jpg

"first" time being selected for a "guest" appearance in a show

IMG_0946.jpg

"first" time noting an uncanny resemblance between this trainer and his bird

IMG_0991.jpg

Not my "first" time on the Safari, but Nick's "first" time taking all the Safari pics

IMG_1020.jpg

"First" time getting stuck on Safari because of an animal in the path

IMG_1072.jpg

Definitely NOT the "first" time missing the lions

IMG_1084.jpg

"First" time seeing a hippo swim underwater.

IMG_1103.jpg

"First" time seeing Lily since she was a baby

IMG_1134.jpg

"First" Lost on Safari

"first" time standing on a lip of concrete while taking pictures of my favorite parade

IMG_1212.jpg

IMG_1256.jpg

IMG_1343.jpg

One of my favorite pictures of the trip

IMG_1351.jpg

"First" night time ride on EE!
IMG_1373.jpg

"first" time opening and closing a park!

IMG_1389.jpg

I think this may have been my favorite day of the trip! The weather was perfect, the crowds manageable, and I loved that we stayed in the park all day and just took a nice long break at the Dawa bar. Can't go wrong with that. I'm also so glad that I had a chance to finally ride EE at night. If you ever get the chance - just do it.
