The difference between some double credit meals and single are negligible.

Some would gladly trade in 3 QS meals for a table service. Why not use a sliding scale for restaurants and snacks.

Instead of 1 snack, TS, and QS you are awarded 14 points/day to be pooled and used as you please. TS Lunches and cheaper restaurants would be fewer points than a dinner at Le Cellier.

TS = 9
CS= 4
Snack = 1

I think a more complicated system like that would turn off a good number of customers who are attracted to the Dining Plan by its simplicity.

I'd like that kind of plan but Bicker is right. It's a lot easier to market a plan that provides 1 full meal and 1 quick service meal per day then it is to market a plan that provides 14 points per day.

We'd probably come out on the short side of the stick. I suspect many of the better TS restaurants would go to the equivalent of 1.5 TS credits.
